💙: I was just about to take a shower what's up?✝️: Something happened, I don't want to talk about it yet though.
💙: Oh :( I'm sorry. I hope you're okay
✝️: I'm fine.
✝️: ...
💙: ?
✝️: Can I please come over?
And once Travis had gotten his response he packed his back, retied his shoes, and was ready.
He didn't know what was happening down stairs, little did he want to know... His mom was probably dead. The chances she were alive were slim, but he hoped.
He unlatched his window, looking down at the drop. He slowly lowered himself down onto the shingles of the roof, gripping his hands into the brick walls.
He looked down again, looking from side to side. The sun was already starting to set. He lowered his hands, sitting down on the shingles, and scooting himself to the edge.
He looked at the ground and closed his eyes as he pushed himself off, bracing for impact.
He had folded himself in a ball as he asended down, landing on hi hands and knees, barley injured.
He sat there for a few moments, gaining consensus back before standing up and brushing himself off with a sigh.
He made his way to the road, looking both ways before crossing. And taking his phone back out once he reached the sidewalk again.
💙: Yeah of course!
✝️: I'm on my way.
💙: Okay good, are you alright?
✝️: Yeah, I'm fine. I'll be there in a little.
Travis put his phone in his pocket and kept walking until the neighborhoods became more deserted, and the streets became alot more cluttered with trash.
And then, there he was, the Addison Apartments. He walked up to the front doors, pushing them open gently.
"Oh hello, Travis. Nice to see you. What brings you here?", Lisa was standing next to the elevator with a mop in her hands.
"Oh, hi.", Travis smiled. "I'm here to um... Hang out with Sal. I-I'm spending the night ....", Travis cleared his throat.
"Ah, well have fun", Lisa smiled, pressing the button next to the elevator, and walking off, continuing to mop the floors.
The doors opened and Travis walked in and stood there for a moment, before pressing one of the buttons and taking his phone out once the doors closed.
✝️: What room again?
💙: 402, I'm gonna take a shower so just come in. The doors open.
He slipped his phone back in his pocket and walked out once the doors opened, going down one of the many corridors.
"Four... Oh... Two...", Travis kept muttering to himself until he came up to the door.
He gently placed his hand on the door knob and turned it until the door clicked open, and Travis could open the door, revealing the small, but comforting, place that Travis felt like... He could call home more than his own house.
He shut the door behind him.
"Hey! Is that you?", He heard come from the bathroom, along with rushing water.
"Uh, yeah!", Travis cleared his throat, walking closer to the door to not have to yell.
"I'll be out in a moment! My rooms to the left. Make yourself at home, and there's food in the fridge if you need!", Sal sounded happy Travis was there.
Travis nodded, knowing Sal couldn't see. And went off into Sal's room, sitting on his bed and looking around.
"... Meow~~", An orange and white cat that was sitting on the bed sat up, stretching and walking over to rub his head on Travis's arm.
"Awe, hi there", Travis smiled, petting the cat behind the ear.
"Aren't you just adorable...", He sighed, as the cat jumped into his lap, walking in a small circle and laying down. Curling himself in a ball and rubbed his head onto Travis's thigh.
"I'm Travis... What's your name?", He was smiling, still stroking the cat's back.
"Mew...", The cat purred.
"Looks like you met, Gizmo", He heard Sal's voice beside him, and then the door close.
Travis looked up, to see Sal, fluffing out his hair, his head hanging low, with a towel wrapped around his face.
"A-ah- Gizmo .... Gizmo. C-cute name", Travis looked back down at the cat, his face blushing red.
Sal laughed, walking over to his closet and rummaging through it.
"Is everything okay? Did something happen... I mean you said you didn't want to talk about it-"
"No- I want to talk about it. I just didn't want to over text... If my dad got hold of my phone and saw it, it wouldn't have been good...", Travis kept his head down.
"Hm, makes sense. What what's going on?", Sal slipped his boxers on before taking off the towel, and throwing it on the floor, not really caring.
"My mom...", He sighed, trying not to burst I to tears that very second, " When I got home my mom was surrounded by empty bottles and pill bottles.."
"Wait- does she not normally drink?-"
"No, she doesn't even take any meds, the only meds we have in the house are for me or my dad"
"What did she take?"
"I wouldn't know. The label was ripped off"
"I'm sorry.. is she?-", Sal trailed off as he sat next to Travis, wrapping his arm around his shoulder.
"I don't know... My dad said he'd handle it- and I panicked and rushed over here- I-"
"Let's go make some tea. That always calms me down", Travis lifted his head up to see Sal's comforting smile.
Gizmo stood up, and jumped off the bed, disappearing underneath it.
"C'mon", Sal stood up, reaching out his hand for Travis to grab onto.
Travis did so and stood up.
"Sal... Thank you. I really appreciate this."
"It's no problem, anything for a friend", Sal wrapped his arms around Travis. And at that moment, a tear fell from the blonde boys eyes.
He wrapped his arms around Sal's waist, pulling him in closer.
"I lo-", Travis cut himself off.
