Chapter XXVII: Confusion

I actually don't understand what's happening, I was just with Aika earlier and then she suddenly floated then glowed. The light was too bright so I had to closed my eyes and when I opened it again? She was gone, out of the blue? A frog appeared in front of me and that's the main reason why I passed out.

When I woke up, I really thought that everything was just a dream but it wasn't. Aika turned into a frog!

I hate to admit this but I'm afraid of frogs, I hate them the most. Since I was a child, I really hate frogs even if it's harmless or not. But Aika is a frog? How did that happened? I mean, why her? Why does it have to be her?!

Chairwoman Valderrama mentioned to me that I shouldn't like Aika in a romantic way because she's not whom I think she is, I tried to forget about her and I tried to stop myself from falling in love with her but I couldn't do it. I failed to do what she told me, I fell for her and I kissed her but she turned into a frog.

I honestly have no idea what's going on but if this is a dream, I badly want to wake up now. This is a nightmare, am I still asleep? Am I dreaming? Is this true? All of it? Did Aika really turned into a talking frog?

"Dude, mag-usap din tayo". Clyde uttered.

"What? Clyde, Aika just turned into a frog and you're expecting me to calm my ass down? Are you being serious?!". I asked him. I don't know what to do anymore, this is insane! Everything doesn't make sense at all.

"Kaya nga mag-usap tayo kase ako ang mag-papaliwanag sa'yo, hindi mo maiintindihan kung ano'ng ganap kung ayan, para kang tanga diyan". He replied nonchalantly then he sat down on my bed. I wonder why he's not freaking out like I am, is he aware that Aika is peculiar?

"Then tell me everything". I answered.

"Katulad ni Sleeping Beauty, isinumpa si Aerin. Ang kaibahan lang nila eh nasa sinapukunan pa lang ang pinsan ko noong isinumpa siya. Si Lola lang ang nag-sabi sa'kin ng mga 'to noong nalaman ko rin na nagiging kokak siya".

"Umalis si Lola para humanap ng paraan kung papaano aalisin 'yung sumpa kay Aerin pero walang kahit na ano'ng kapangyarihan o kung ano pa man ang makabali sa sumpa".

"Totoong umalis si Lola dahil sa business trip niya pero isang buwan lang naman talaga 'yon at hindi anim, wala pa rin siya ngayon dahil nag-hahanap siya ng paraan para maalis na ang sumpa sa pinsan ko".

"Sigurado akong hindi sinabi ni Lola sa'yo ang mga bagay na ito bago ka pumayag na maging babysitter ni Aika pero ngayong alam mo na, ano na ang balak mong gawin?".

"I honestly don't know what to do anymore but I need some time and space, I need to think alone".

"Well, hindi kita masisi kase ganiyan din ang naging reaksyon ko noon pero natanggap ko rin naman kase pinsan ko si Aika. Wala na siyang ibang maaasahan at masasandalan kung hindi kami lang naman dahil kapamilya niya kami".

"I'll just leave this place for a while, I just come back later or when my head is already clear".

"Huwag kang pupunta sa malayong lugar kase tamad kaming mag-hanap at alam mo naman na mahirap kang hanapin, pwede ka naman sa tabi-tabi o doon ka na lang muna sa mansyon nila Gideon".
