You ran after the seven years old you were babysitting as you begged her to stop, "Cora, come on! We can play later, but you need to do your homework now!"

"Catch me if you can!" she stuck out her tongue mockingly.

"Y/n, I'll help you!"

Nora, Cora's twin, spread her arms to block Cora's way, making the other stop abruptly and the two fall.

"Ouch!"

The twins yelped in pain.

You sighed and inspected them, "Are you two okay?"

"No, it hurts," Cora whined. "It's all Nora's fault!"

"It's not my fault!" Nora yelled. "You're the one who didn't obey Y/n!"

The two kept on their bickering. You were about to separate them, but your phone suddenly rang.

"Perfect timing," you groaned as you checked your phone. But your eyes light up from seeing the contact name and you clapped in joy.

The two kids look at you in confusion and you smiled at them.

"You guys, go do your homework. If you find anything hard, I'll help you with it. For now, try to do it yourself, okay? I need to take this call."

Nora and Cora looked at each other, they were confused and slightly afraid at the sudden mood change.

Deciding not to displease you, they run to their books and did what you told them to do.

You chuckled at the sight of it before picking up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey," your girlfriend's voice was heard from the other end. "What took you so long to pick up?"

"You know exactly why," you scoffed as you tucked in a hair strand you just noticed. "Why are you calling me? Is anything wrong?"

"Yes," she sighs. "You're not in my arms right now and I don't like it. I miss you, wanna go to the park?"

"Carly, you know that I'm busy and I—"

"You can bring the kids, I don't mind."

You glanced at Nora and Cora. To your surprise, they are doing their homework right now, just like you told them to do.

"What if I do mind?" you turned the question. "They're doing their homework right now."

"Well, treat them with a walk! They deserve it!"

You eyed the twins, still occupied with their homework, "I don't think they're finished yet."

"What if I help them with their homework?" she offered, your approval was all she strived for. "What if I pay for the ice creams?"
