Rain poured down on the massive group of cats. In front, an brown tom and tortoiseshell she-cat walked as they talked, while in the back four cats tried to ease it for the kits. As apprentice, Jaypaw walked in the midst of the group. This was SkyClan. The twolegs decided that SkyClans old territory would be theirs and the other four Clans wouldn't give any of the territory to them. So they had to leave. And they have been walking ever since. Two kits and an elder had died and the whole Clan knows that it wouldn't be long before Foxflower would die. Hollowkit and Leafkit where her kits and her mate Snowcloak was crushed by one of the twoleg monsters that invaded their territory. Jaypaw herself never knew her family and she still thinks that the whole of SkyClan was lucky to be one big family. The only cat her age was Mintpaw, a very shy white she-cat who would probably never see their new home. Jaypaw felt sorry for thinking those thoughts but she couldn't help it. Mudstripe, the brown tom in the front, halted. 'SkyClan! We will rest here! The warriors will hunt while the queens and apprentices will make nests.' Jaypaw sighed, she wanted to hunt and be there for her Clan. But she knew that arguing with Mudstripe ment that she wouldn't hunt for probably another moon. Turtlestar watched her Clan as they sat camp, the shame was visible in her eyes and the whole clan mourned the loss of their territory.

When the sun slowly went to drown in the earth the acting SkyClan camp was ready. The only thing left was for the warriors to show up. Jaypaw turned her head when she saw Buzzerdeye and Fuzzytail. 'Badger!' The two toms screamed. Foxflower looked at the ground and then at the warriors. 'Where?' She asked with narrowd eyes. 'Down hill, should we find another patrol?' Fuzzytail asked the red queen. Foxflower shook her head and ran out of camp.  Before half of the Clan realised what had happend was the red queen gone. Jaypaw shook her head and ran after her. Grief is such a dangerous thought. She followd the scent of Foxflower. The scent went stronger the further she got. There she is! Thought the gray she-cat. 'Foxflower!' She screamed. Foxflower looked behind her as the badger slammed into her. Jaypaws eyes widened. With a yell of rage she slammed herself into the badger. Foxflower needed to be protected, the red queen lay motionless for the claws of the badger who tried to stop Jaypaw. The gray apprentice stopped. Foxflower didn't breathe, the red she-cat had killed herself to be with her family. Jaypaw looked in horror at the corpse of Foxflower but didn't notice the badger creeping up at her. When she finally realised it was there it was to late. The badger looked at her with an emotionless expression, and then hit her.

'Foxflower!? Jaypaw!?' Jaypaw could hear Mudstripes voice but it was faint. She opened her eyes and saw blurry paws. 'Foxflower is dead.' Another voice, that sounded alot like Crowfurs was audible but also distand. 'Jaypaw? Jaypaw!' That was Mintpaws voice. It was also the last Jaypaw heard, before fainting into darkness..
