Ares lifted his head at the voice of a soothing female. After facing many manner less people he was a bit surprised at the girl's behaviour. He waited there patiently to see what would happen. By the conversation between her and Jedrek, he got to know that she came for the interview. After apologising to Jedrek, she looked straight into his eyes and asked "May I come in sir?"
He didn't know what made him dumbstruck at that point. Her voice or her dressing or her eyes. But something changed at that second when he heard her voice for the first time and when he saw her for the first time. He soon composed himself and nodded his head. She gave him her file and he asked her to take a seat. He was amused at her bio data. She seemed intelligent and something about her intrigued him.
Ares: " Why did you apologise to him?" Hera was, a second confused by that question. Yet, she answered.
Hera: " I did mistake and so I apologised sir" Confident just oozed out from her voice which really surprised him.
Ares: "What if it's not your mistake?"
Hera: " I WILL NOT APOLOGISE" This time her demeanour screamed something which astounded him. It was not her confidence but some other thing. After going through her file for some more time and asking some questions, he asked her to wait outside. Thanking him, she left taking her file with her.
After she left, Jedrek joined him and the interview continued. When the interview got over, it was afternoon and all the candidates were waiting for the results. Soon Jedrek came out and addressed them.
Jed: "Thank you all for attending the interview" He said and waited for a second. Hera just smiled at that. Whereas others just rolled their eyes or scoffed. Some didn't even pay attention to him. Jedrek smiled at that and pocketed his hands. "Ms. Hera" he called out and Hera stood up a bit startled. "You are selected. You can join from tomorrow and should be here by sharp 9.00 A.M. Understood?" she nodded with a confused smile.
Others left from there dejectedly. Hera came towards Jedrek after everyone left.
Hera: "Thank you sir" She smiled again and went from there happily leaving a smiling Jedrek and an amused Ares behind who watched all the drama from his cabin.
