My bare feet pound against the forest floor. My lungs burn as I flee from this unknown fear. My only thought is to keep moving. The forest has become dark as the light of the moon disappears completely. My first thought is that it is because the light has become hidden in a clouded sky but as I look up to the heavens my heart sinks heavily in my chest. The night sky shows not a cloud in sight, stars splatter the darkness, but the moon... the moon is gone.
What I am running from, I truly am not sure. For the life of me I cannot remember where the fear in my heart has come from. I begin to slow down until Lupin snarls at me to keep moving.
A dull light begins to grow in the distance, casting wicked shadows through the trees. I slow my pace as I come closer, a small clearing comes into view. My eyes roam the open area and I find that I am surprised to see many people standing in a circle around a large bulky object.
There are probably fifty people, all wearing dark cloaks with hoods so large it overshadows their faces, standing around this object. My eyes travel to the middle of the circle and Lupin snarls in my mind ferociously when we realize that the large item is a casket.
"I'd like to thank everyone for being here to celebrate the life of Carter Silver-Thorne. Luna to the Silver-Thorne pack, Queen of the wolves, mate to the Kings, Quinn and Xander Silver-Thorne." A deep voice catches my attention and my eyes immediately dart over to the man speaking.
Celebrate my life? But I'm not dead! What in the actual hell is going on here?! My chest heaves painfully as I try to regain my breath. My eyes roam over the hooded figures as they simultaneously reach up to remove the fabric from their heads.
My heart stops dead in my chest as I realize they are all members of my pack. They stand together around the stark white casket with heavy tears in their eyes. My beautiful mates are at the head of the death box, their heads held high, though silver glistened in their saddened eyes.
Suddenly both Quinn and Xander's eyes turn milk white. Their stances become rigid and my pack members look around uncomfortable. They begin shifting back and forth as if they are deciding whether or not to run. What's going on?
"With the death of our mate, comes the death of the moon. The Goddess has left us. We have failed her only child and as punishment, werewolves are no longer in her favor." Quinn's gravelly voice carries ominously over the crowd.
The fire in the pit suddenly surges high into the air. The heat blasts my face and forces me to squint my eyes at the light. I lift my arm to block my eyes when just as quickly as it began, the fire dims back down. It takes a moment for my eyes to readjust but when they do, I begin to wish that I had been blinded.
Every pack member is now on their knees, holding something in their arms. Quinn and Xander lie on their backs, their eyes lifeless and mouths slack with blood trailing from the side. A sob hitches in my throat and I throw my hand over my mouth to muffle the sound. I look back around and realize that the bundle in each pack members arms is a dead wolf. Their wolf. Their heart wrenching sobs echo through the air and I drop to my knees and look up to the sky.
Why mom?

I jerk awake, my breathing labored and tears are pouring down my face. Quinn and Xander each have a hand on my shoulder as they try to comfort me.
"Little Wolf, it's okay" Quinn whispers.
"It was just a dream, you're safe here with us." Xander agrees and places a soft kiss to my forehead.
"It wasn't a dream. Oh Goddess. Those poor wolves!" I sob and cover my face with my hands.
Quinn shifts, leaning up against our headboard and wraps his hands around my hips before he lifts and places my body onto his so I am straddling him. I wrap my arms around his neck and tuck my face into his neck, inhaling his addicting scent; like the forest after a heavy rain. His thick arms hold me tight and a warm sense of security fills me; my breathing and heart rate slow and the tears begin to recede.
"You think this is another vision, love?" Xander murmurs as his hand runs the length of my back soothingly.
"I don't think it, My Heart. I know it for a fact, I can feel it in my bones. My mom has sent me a warning." I grumble into Quinn's neck.
"Okay, love. I believe you. Is it something we can handle now or would you like to call council tomorrow after the grand opening?"
I lift my head and look into Xander's worried eyes. I lost myself in the depth of the love he is showing me. Goddess, I don't know what I would do without my mates. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have their strength to lean on. So much has happened in the years since I fell into this crazy paranormal world, and I truly think I may have lost my sense without their guidance.
"I think that it would be best to keep this between us for the time being. I have a deep rooted feeling that we need to make sense of this first before we make the decision to call in the council. Before we bring anyone into the know for that matter. The last thing I want to do is cause panic within our pack."
"I agree, little wolf." Quinn says softly as he nuzzles into my neck.
"As do I. We have a big day tomorrow, lets try to get some sleep and tomorrow afternoon we will sit down and figure out your new vision. That sound okay, love?" Xander asks.
"Okay." I sigh loudly and nod my head.
"Well, Little Wolf. I have to say that was the most unconvincing agreement I have ever heard come from those beautiful lips." Quinn chuckles.
"It's just... I know tomorrow is such a big day for us and I know I am going to hate myself for not getting the sleep that I need... but I truly don't know how I am going to get back to sleep after such an awful vision." I shake my head. "I'm wide awake now."
"Hmm, well love. I'm sure we can think of a few ways to help you get back to sleep." Xander smirks devilishly.
His fingers lightly grasp my chin, pulling me down to place a soft kiss on my mouth before letting go. I pull back and turn, placing one on Quinn's lips as well.
Quinn lets a low grumble rise up from his chest as he deepens the kiss. His hands find their way to my cheeks as he pulls my lips down harder against his. His tongue swipes against my lower lip and a soft moan escapes me as I grant him access. Our tongues dance sensually together and before I realize he has even moved, Xander has his chest pressed against my back as he runs his lips against my neck, his hands grasping my hips tightly.
'Hmmm, yes. I think this distraction will most definitely wear us out' My wolf Lupin, purred in my mind.
