I went along with it. So the story still has a "Vampire" aesthetic to it, just with a different style.
I decided to make another type of human called "Blood Moons" more on that later.
I also decided to give Henry Hair in this AU cause I gave him a new criminal outlook, "The Blood Bride" His design was inspired by "Heavens Official's Blessing" and a Y/N x Dabi video (My sis watches it regularly and it has effected my recommendations on YouTube.) anyways a bit of explanation here.
AU explanation. The government has been looking for a mass murderer for a very long time and "she's" been put on the bounty list next to the Toppat Clan. Reports of survivors from the murderer's hunt, suggested that the murderer was a female. Reports kept flooding in that they have seen a bride who wore all red and had a deep feminine voice. Upon closer inspection, it seems as though the victims blood were sucked dry and were tossed into lakes and rivers near the city. Leading many to believe that a vampire has decided to make the city it's hunting grounds.
Meanwhile, the Toppat Clan with more information on the "Blood Bride" found out that the bride was actually a human born on the Blood moon. Blood Moons are humans with special blood that vampires cannot drink. They are speculated to be immortal and are mostly responsible for vampire transformations. Mostly. However, Blood Moons are still human and don't need blood to survive. It's only reason to kill is that it's hunting for a pack of vampires. Yes, a pack. The Blood Moon is sorta what Werewolves call "Alpha" of the pack, however that's only because they create the pack of vampires in the first place. They are also usually familial, so when they hunt it makes this seem like they hunt for the family. This worries the Toppat Clan, as they realize that the hunts are usually like when humans go on groceries. They are frequent and are usually hunted once every two weeks (idk about you but that's how groceries are for me) meaning that the pack is either a wild pack who follows a tyrant Blood Moon or a pack that lives close by. With the constant need for blood, it's possible that these vampires might be more prepared than the vampire Toppat Clan.
Meanwhile Henry owns an orphanage of vampires and feeds them by hunting.
Ellie and the Wall are vampire hunters and the government goes to them when they are in imminent danger. Ellie is Dimitri's daughter in this AU and Charles' stepsister.
Side note: If a Blood Moon has a mate. Their transformation into a vampire varies whether or not their mate wants to be a vampire.
By the way: This AU doesn't have a concrete world-building storyline, so if I write fanfics about this, it's probably a one shot
