In the Dadford AU. Wilford used to be a Wall guard before he became a Toppat. He and Dimitri were best friends. This photo....was taken during the time where Dimitri was a mere Wall guard. The designs here were the old uniforms cause damn it was cold there, but Dimitri changed it for....purposes.
Grigori isn't in the photo because Grigori joined around near the time Dimitri became the Warden, still before, but near. So when this photo was taken, Grigori hasn't joined yet, but Grigori still knows who Wilford is, because Wilford was still around when Dimitri became Warden, but he quit a few months later. Due to an unfortunate event that happened at the Wall causing Dimitri to become Warden.
The only time Dimitri has heard of Wilford was when he was living in a cottage raising a son and is a former criminal.
Yes...that would mean that Dimitri is Henry's honorary Uncle in this AU....And I'd like to warn you...even though he supports Henry's decision to follow In Wilford's footsteps in being a thief, he's more overprotective than Wilford.
So much so, that he wasn't too happy when he found out an old Captain/General kidnapped, blackmailed and placed him in a hamster ball without knowing his history with the Toppats and instead of hiring a professional to do the job.
