I never thought this would happen,  but it did and I officially have over one thousand reads. Yaaaaaay!

I want to thank all you guys, I could have gotten a fraction of this response if it wasn't for the loyal readers.

Much love,

My eyes flew open, a gasp of new air filled my lungs. I sat up, nearly falling off the bed in the process. Sam and Cas sat on  the other bed leaning over in concentration.

Beside me I saw Dean do the same, my cheeks flamed at the sight of him.  His disheveled hair and freckles were  making it nearly impossible for me to sit still. He smiled at me, making my heart skip a beat, and my breath catch in my throat.

Dean shifted around, learning around me, unnoticeable to anyone else,  but to me, that's all I could feel. I sank into his warm embrace; the embrace I had wanted to feel for so many days.  This moment was perfect, I finally learned what it was like to have a family.

In this minute, in this brief space of time, surrounded by the most oddball group, I understood what it was like to truly love.

The moment fleeting as it is, ended and we all found ourselves lost for our train of thought. We made eye contact and fell in to motion, automatically knowing what to do without talking.

I grabbed my bags and bow,  the guys grabbed their stuff and we met Cas in the Impala. Sam crawled into the back, leaving me confused on the pavement. His pointed look at the front seat was a good enough hint did me to crawl in next to Dean.

The familiarity of the scene caused blood to rush to the surface of my skin. Only Dean noticed, his silly little side smirk gave that away instantaneously. Softly the Impala growled to life purring softly as we idled in the parking lot,  It only just occurred to me that I didn't know where we were going and I didn't care, we were all together and somewhat sane and healthy, and together that is enough for us to stand immortal.

Carry on my wayward son by Kansas blasted through the old speakers, shaking me to my bones and my teeth shatter against to each other. Dean was singing along off key, Cas looked just lost, Sam was typing quickly on his laptop that put mine to shame, and I found it hard to look away from Deans shining face.

We were driving down an interstate that I didn't recognize; I don't know where we were going still. A rational part of my mind told me it was probably something to do with that demon that has my blood, it didn't speak over my curiosity.

My hand rested softly on the seat next to me, then to my surprise a rough warm hand wrapped firmly around mine. Looking up in shock I realized that Dean had took my hand without looking at me, a lopsided grin planted on his lips, I matched his smile perfectly. He squeezed my fingers and I shot a flirtful wink at him when he glanced at me through the corner of his eye.

I hummed along quietly with the songs as they went on, Cas popped in and out repeatedly doing god knows what. Sam took a nap about an hour into the trip sleeping all the way until we reached an exit ramp that read 'New York exit now'.

"New York?" I asked, raising my eyebrows in suspicion, gawking at the bright lights and the hundreds of people walking and driving everywhere at once. "This is beautiful."

"Beautiful?" Dean questioned, sounding like he had a few descriptive words that didn't agree with mine. His sour mood didn't dent the stars in my eyes, I wasn't even listening to what he had to say at this point.

We pulled into a large mansion with a large open gate; the house looked out of place, like from a fairytale, not in a dirty modern town.

"I know you know people, but I didn't know you know people." I sighed never taking eyes off the magnificent building. Never in my life have I ever been so close to such an expencive looking home, I had never even been in a big city. It felt like I was in a story book, like one of the old ones that I read from the early eighteen hundreds, like the ones with terrible deadly endings.

Suddenly the feeling of peacefulness that had flooded my body was rushed out by ice filling my veins. I practically shivered with the new feeling of unease that filled my body, not even the hand that battled the cold fearlessly could fully supress the feeling.

"He, and I use that term loosely, is very resourceful." Sam explained, closing his laptop with a nearly silent  clap. "And insidentally is the guys we happen to be looking for."

"This-" I gasped, feeling the color drain from my face. "The guy who is, quite literally might I add, out for my blood lives in this house, and you thought it would be a dandy idea to bring me along with you to his house!"

"Did you just say 'Dandy'?" Dean snorted, trying to stifle a laugh by grunting into the wedge of his elbow. I started slapping him repeatedly in the shoulder, not even shaking his strong structure.

"This- is- not- funny!" I grunted, hitting his arm roughly inbetween each word I spoke. This only seemed to make him laugh even harder, even Sam was chuckling away in the backseat enjoying every moment of this little encounter. Cas had flashed out telling us when we first entered the city that he was going to keep a look out, and never came back.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry!" Dean yelled holding up his arms in surrender, my swings slowly dwindled down to me just sitting there unsure if I was angry or wanting to laugh along. Unfortunantly for the angry side my lips stretched out into a smile, laughing before I was ready to admit anything.

"Wow, Dean you must really like her if you are willing to apologize so quickly." Sam announced proudly from the back seat, earning a death glare from Dean and a easy going wink from me. "Deanie Boy's got it bad!"

"Yes, I do." He agrees looking at me no longer smiling, but speaking a million words with his eyes.
