Authors note -
Hi guys! It's been a long time now, but I've had a lot of my mind, especially with school and everything. As you guys probably know I'm from Sweden and I'm in the ninth grade (I'm 16, but it's the Swedish school system guys.) and when your in the ninth grade you have to choose a new school and a program that you want to attend. It's a lot of thinking and it's a big decisions. FYI I chose a school called St:Eskil and it's a good school where I live and the program I chose is social science with the safety profile, which means that I'm going to read criminology, hence the interest in Jack the Ripper.
Anyway I think I've written enough about my school now, I'd like to thank everyone for 188 reads! It actually means a lot to me and I didn't think I'd reach that far. ❤️

There is a special song that I think suits this chapter perfectly and I looooove this song it's called "If I was God for one day" and it's by a Swedish pop punk band called Neverstore and they're really good, if you like that kind of music, which personally I love both pop punk and punk rock. What kind of music do you guys listen to?

That was all and now I hope you're going to enjoy the tenth chapter of Love on Ripper Street!

"I love you too Jax." It felt so right to say it again, but at the same time it didn't. Alice left Jaxon for a reason and something in the pit of her stomach told her to step back and look at the time they spent together. Jaxon had hurt her mentally, not only once but several times and when she left he didn't make any sort of effort to find her again, even though he said that he loved her. And when she was at her lowest Nate came around and brightened her life a little, he had given back her life, the life that Jaxon stole. The fact that Alice loved Jaxon didn't stop the fact that she was together with Nate.
Alice felt the tears threatening to spill, and she did the first thing that came to mind. She ran. She ran after Nate, she ran after Nate the way she wished Jaxon would've run after her.
When she was right in front of the entrance she turned and looked back at Jaxon. And just as the first time she ran from him, he didn't chase her. Alice felt a tear slip from her eye when she turned and entered the dormitory.

When she walked inside she saw that all of the boys in the hallway looked at her, and she remembered that this was a boy dormitory. She saw a friendly looking guy and he had a kind of skater look to him. Alice decided that if she was going to find Nate she had to ask someone and he looked the least intimidating.

"Hello, I'm Alice and I wondered if you know Nate Brooks?"
The guys smiled and showed of one of his dimples.
"Yeah everyone knows Nate. Why are a pretty girl like you asking for him?"
Of course he was a flirt Alice thought whilst mentally rolling her eyes.
"We're dating. And do you know where he is?"
"Oh didn't think you were Nate's type. But I saw him walking into his dorm, it's number 113."
"What do you mean not Nate's type?" Alice said, the anger clear in her voice.
"No don't get me wrong, your beautiful, and I'm sure Nate think that to and all. But I thought that he didn't do dating. But I'm probably wrong."
"Okay whatever. Thanks, and what's your name again?"
"Chris." He said with a smirk and Alice turned around and walked towards room 113.

When Alice finally found the dorm she knocked and when nobody answered she said; "Nate, it's Alice." She tried to open the door, but it was locked. She was about to walk away, when she saw Jaxon running toward her. When she saw him she turned around and was about to run away again, but before she could take a step she felt Jaxon grip her wrist and turned her around to face him.
She hadn't felt his touch in four months, and she hated to admit that she missed it.

"Alice." Her name came out as a whisper whilst Jaxon was catching his breath. After a couple of seconds of looking into his deep blue eyes he finally spoke up and said; "why did you run away from me."
"Because I'm with Nate, and I know that if I'd stay it wouldn't end well, for neither of us."
"No I mean, why did you run four months ago." When he said that Alice looked up into his eyes and saw the pain he felt, and all she wanted to do was to kiss his pain away, but she couldn't see past the fact that she had suffered as much as he had.
"Why didn't you chase me?" She stared into his eyes and saw that the mastermind was confused, which would've been quite amusing if the circumstances were different.
"I thought you didn't want me to. If you wanted me to chase after you, then why did you run?!" Jaxon yelled out with the frustration clear in his voice.
"Because I wanted you to stop doing what you were doing, but you didn't want to and I loved you Jaxon, heck I still do, and I can't be with a man that do what you did, and I thought that maybe if you really loved me you would've chased me but you didn't and then I....." Jaxon cut her out of her rambling with a kiss. A kind of kiss that she hadn't felt before. It was passionate and filled with desperation. She had missed him, all of him. His kisses, his hugs, his laugh, everything.
Alice didn't want the kiss to end, she could stand there for the rest of her life, and she didn't care that they were standing in the middle of the hallway, until someone interrupted them.
"So this is what happens when you leave your girlfriend and your roommate alone huh? You f u c k i n g whore!."
Alice snapped out of the kiss and turned around to face a furious Nate. His words were hurtful, and she felt Jaxon tense and by instinct she took a hold of his arm, as if she was trying to stop him from doing something he would regret. And luckily Alice instinct was right, Jaxon relaxed a bit under her touch but he was ready to punch, everyone could see it.
"Don't ever call her that again." Jaxon said through pressed jaws.
"Oh and what are you going to do about it huh? Punch me? Ha I'd like to see that. Your a f u c k i n g loser, nothing but a loser Jaxon! You can't even get your own girlfriend, you have to steal mine? Ha but it's okay you can have her, you two deserve each other, both of you are equally pathetic."
Before anyone could react Nate was on the floor holding his stomach where he just got punched.
Alice felt pain stream through her fist and she thought that she was going to have a bruise there tomorrow. She looked up at Jaxon and he stood there with his mouth wide open, along with everyone else. Including herself.
All of the sudden Chris showed up and said; "awesome" like it's no big deal.
Jaxon looked at Chris then at Alice and said; "run."

Jaxon and Alice ran to her apartment, luckily it wasn't that far, and neither of them spoke until Jaxon decided to speak.
"Alice Lightwood. You're bad ass." And with that they both burst out laughing.
