Alana's Point of View.
"Come on Castalia." Jace groaned as I lay on the floor of the training room.
"No! I give up, I can't do it." I said, sighing. Have walked over to me, standing above me. I looked up at him and smirked. He held his hand out to me. I shook my head and looked away.
"Castalia if you do not get up and do this training I will throw you over my shoulder and make you do it.' Jace warned.
"Yeah right." I scoffed. Suddenly I was thrown into the air then over Jace's shoulder. I screamed as he ran around with me on his shoulder. "Jace put me down!" I yelled, trying not to laugh. He then dropped me on my feet in front of him. He smirked before laughing. His laugh was contagious because I joined in.
"Jace...uh..." Clary interrupted. We looked up at her, Jace stepping away from me. "Sorry for interrupting but Alex wants you guys in the portal room." She said.
"Okay, we'll be there now." Jace said. Clary nodded before leaving. Jace grabbed my hand and lead me out of the training room and through the foyer and into the portal room.
"Hey Alec, what's up?" I said, seeing them stood around the table. Alec did no talk but point at the portal. We turned to it to see it had now started working again.
"You told me that the portal was destroyed." I said, looking up at Jace.
"It was." Jace said, still staring at the portal. I slowly walked over to it, touching it with my finger. The portal rippled with small waves.
"It's so beautiful." I said, fascinated.
"It is." Jace smiled. I looked back at Alec.
"Do you know why it has started to work again?" I asked.
"No, it just turned on." Alec shrugged. I looked back at it. It really was beautiful.
"I'm going to keep an eye on it, just in case." Alec said. "Don't want anyone trying to get into the institute."
"Nope, we don't." I said. I looked back at Jace who was staring at Clary and Simon with pure jealousy. I looked down sadly before walking away. I left the portal room and rushed to my bedroom, which Alec had given me. I sat on the bed, feeling slightly upset. I knew that Jace still love Clary, I could tell by the way he looked at her. I pulled out my phone and dialed Linda's number. It went to voice mail. I sighed before placing my phone on the bed side table. There was then a knock on my door.
"Hey Castalia, it's Jace." Jace's voice sounded.
"Uh, come in." I said. The door slowly opened and he walked in. He then sat down beside me. There was a few minutes of uncomfortable silence until I decided to break it.
"Do you still love her, Clary?" I asked, looking up at him.
"What?" He asked.
"You heard me." I said. He looked down at his feet. "You do, don't you?" I snapped.
"Yes, I do, but I am trying to get over her." He said, looking up at me.
"So what, I'm your rebound girl, gee thanks." I scoffed.
"No, Castalia, it's not like that..."
"Really? Because that's what it sounds like!" I yelled.
"I really really like you, Cas, I really do." He sighed.
"Yeah, well I am nobody's rebound date." I snapped before getting up and leaving the room. I wiped a stray tear from my face before heading into the training room. Alec was in there, practicing his fighting. He looked up at me and smiled.
"Ahh, Cassy, have you come back for more training?" He asked.
"More training?" I sighed. He then looked up at me.
"Have you been crying?" He asked. "Was it Jace, I'll kill him." He growled.
"No, Alec! Just leave it okay?" I said. He hesitated but nodded.
"What did he do?" Alec asked, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"Let's just say I fell for a guy who had already fallen for someone else." I said.
"Clary? I thought he was over Clary." Alec said.
"Apparently not." I sighed.
"You know I was in love with Jace once." Alec confessed. I looked up at him in shock.
"Wait, you're..."
"Gay, yes, yes I am." He smiled.
"Oh wow, that's awesome." I smiled. "What did you do?"
"I kept my feeling bottled up, and when I finally picked up the courage to tell him it was too late." He explained.
"Clary?" I asked.
"Yep, Clary." He sighed.
