Hiii!! Here's chapter 2! I reallly hope you're enjoying the story so far! Happy reading!!
"So what's on your mind?" Calum asked me.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Don't play dumb, somethings on your mind." He said.
"Oh, its just that Linda hasn't been very well lately." It wasn't the truth and it wasn't exactly a lie, Linda hasn't been feeling to good lately but I wasn't going to tell Calum that.
"Aww, Don't worry Al, she'll be fine." He said, pulling me into a side hug.
"I hope so." I smiled. The bell sounded through the classroom causing me to shoot out of my seat and out the classroom. I just wanted to get home and paint. Yes I love painting, it's one of my secret hobbies. When I say secret hobby I mean it's a hobby that only I know about, none of my friends know I can draw. I went to my locker and shoved my books in there before slamming it shut.
"Hey Alana." Brent, the football Jock smirked from beside me.
"Hello Brent." I said, unintrested in him.
"Wanna hang out?" He asked.
"No thanks, I have to get home and look after Linda, she's sick." I explained.
"Can't she look after herself?" He said.
"That women raised me, she didnt have to but she did the least I can do is look after her when she is ill." I snapped before walking away. I stormed out of school and started walking home, deciding to cut through an alley way thinkking it was quicker when suddenly I was pushed against the wall.
"How can you see me?" The boy who I had bumped into was in front of me, pinning me between himself and the wall.
"What do you mean?!" I snapped.
"You can see me, how?" He asked again.
"I don't understand." I squealed. He sighed and stepped back running his hand through his blonde hair. I decided to study his features, now that he had his hood down. He had a strong jawline and such nice cheek bones. His hair was so unnaturally blonde.
"Normal people can't see me, I can not be seen by normal humans." I stared at him, confused and slightly worried. Suddenly two men emerged from the shadows, snarling at me. Their face twitched then turned dark and monster like. I gasped and back away. The blonde guy pulled a sword out from his belt before standing in a fighting stance. The creature snarled once more before pouncing at the blonde boy who sliced the first one in half, I gasped and covered my mouth.
The other punched the blonde guy in the face before pulling out a blade and plunging it into the blonde guys stomach. He keeled over, dropping his sword. I grabbed the sword and sliced the other monster guy in half. I dropped the sword and bent down next to the blonde guy.
"Are-are you okay?" I asked, shaking. He just groaned in reply. I helped him to his feet.
"Here, come back to my place, I'll get you cleaned up." I said, wrapping his arm around my neck so he could lean on me for support.
"What were those?" I asked. Looking at the dead monster guys on the floor.
"D-demons." He said.
"Are you a demon?" I asked.
"No, I'm a shadow hunter." He replied. I just nodded, unsure of what to say. We quickly arrived at my house, I pulled my key out my pocket, and unlocked the door.
"Linda?" I called, No reply, good she was out. I helped The shadow hunter through the door and up to my room.
"You take your shirt off, I'll go and get the first aid kit." I left him in my room and went into the bathroom. I grabbed a small towel and a baison of water, I then grabbed the first aid kit from the cabinate. I walked into my bedroom to see the shadow hunter examining his wounds, topless. I gawked at his body, it was covered in tattoos, and his abs, oh my gosh. I snapped myself out of my trance and walked over to him.
"Here, let me clean that." I said placing the first aid kit on my bedside table and I gestured for the hunter to sit on my bed. He slowly sat, looking up at me. I dipped the towel in the water before dabbing in on his wound. He flinched and I stopped.
"Sorry." I said.
"It's fine, just hurts." He said, still looking at me. "What's your name?" He then asked.
"Um, I'm Alana." I smiled. "What's yours?" I asked.
"Jace." I smiled at his name, it was unique. I carried on cleaning his wound, dabbing it with the warm water. I then placed the towel down and grabbed the first aid kit. I took out the rubbing alcohol and tipped it on some clothe.
"This is going to sting a bit." I said, biting my lip. Jace nodded. I then put the cloth on his wound. He hissed in pain.
"Sorry." I said.
"Don't worry, it's fine." He said before nodding for me to continue. I placed the cloth back on the wound, Jace squeezed his eyes shut. Once I was done cleaning the wound I wrapped it in bandages.
"All done." I smiled. He looked down at the now patched up wound.
"Thank you." He said, I noticed his british accent.
"You can put your shirt back on now." I said. He stood up and walked over to me.
"Do you want me to put it back on?" He asked. I gulped, my eyes wandered down to his abs. I looked back up at him to see a smirk spread across his face. "How can you see me?" He whispered.
"I don't know what you mean." I said.
" I am a shadow hunter, I can't be seen by anyone except for my own kind and demons, unless I want a human to see me." He explained.
"Did you want me to see you?" I asked. He shook his head. "What does that mean?" He shrugged. I sighed and looked down, my eyes catching onto one of his tattoos.
"I recognise this." I said tracing my finger over the tattoo he looked down at the tattoo. I looked up to his face, seeing how close we were. He looked up catching my gaze. His Blue eyes were so hypnotising.
"You need to come with me, to the institute." He said, still gazing down at me, his eyes wandering to my lips. My breathing hitched as his face go closer. His lips brushed against mine.
"We should, um, leave now before Linda comes back." I said. He cleared his throat and nodded, he then pulled his shirt and Jacket on then we left. Well today was eventful.
