Emerson POV:

It's been four days since we first ate absolute shit at Eden Hall. Today was Friday we almost survived the first week and let me tell you it sucked. It wasn't actually bad or anything it was just school which meant a lot of work and dealing with annoying people. I woke up at 6:30 a.m to give me enough time to shower and get ready. I turn on the hot water and while its heating up I go to grab a towel from out of the bathroom closet. Once the water is the perfect temperature I take off my clothes and hop in. I rinse my hair under the water and once it was completely wet I put my shampoo in and scrub it until it gets super sudsy. I then rinse it out and put my conditioner in and let that sit while its sitting I shave my legs. I had to hurry because I had already been in there for 15 minutes and Connie was banging on the door telling me to hurry up. I quickly shave my legs and wash my body. After I finished that I rapidly washed the conditioner out of my hair. I then quickly turned off the water and dried off. Once I was dried off I quickly walked to my room to get dressed for the day. I look in my closet and pull out a red v-neck sweater, a white t-shirt, and a pair of light washed jeans. I put those on and then start to dry my hair. Once my blow dryer had done its job I decide to accessorize because who doesn't love to. I grab a red head band to match my sweater, a gold North Star necklace, gold hoops, and red high top converse. Once I put everything on I go to see Connie.

" So... How do I look?"- I asked

" Like you're actually related to me for once."- Connie sarcastically replied

I roll my eyes and then head down to the kitchen to eat breakfast . I decided to have toast and yogurt I mean its a easy breakfast and I am super lazy especially in the mornings. Once I finished I asked Connie for a ride. It was pretty stupid to ask because she had to drive me no matter what or mom would kill her. As Connie and I start to head out the door Mom hands us our lunch money and we say goodbye for the day.

" Emerson have you made any progress with Dwayne?"- Connie asked

" Well you see... No I haven't talked to him since the first day. Are you sure he was actually into me because if you're lying to me I'm going to roundhouse your ass Connie don't even try me."- I grumbled

" YES I'M SURE HE'S BEEN MAKING GOO GOO EYES AT YOU ALL WEEK!- She shouted

" Damn Connie you didn't have to yell. Also tell him to get enough balls and talk to me again."- I replied

We pull into her parking space so I step out of the car and head into the building. Jess lived in a dorm since she's from Maine and Steph did because she's from New York so we meet at our lockers everyday. I make my way to my locker and put my bag in and pull out my history textbook and binder. Mr. Thomas was a bitch and already made us have homework like come on man it's the first week. I stood there waiting until everyone from the idiot squad met up with us.

" EMERSON YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED!"- Jess Screamed

" Okay first off Jess we are in school you can't just scream in the hallways. Second what happened?"- I ask

" So... You know how I may or may not have liked Adam for two years..."- Jess said

" Oh believe me I'm well aware of this crush."- I giggled

" Well he was totally checking me out I think he might like me!"- She exclaimed

I was super happy for her she's liked him for so long I mean its about time something happened between them. We were placing bets on who would be brave enough to make the first move. Sadly I know owe Migz and Steph 5 bucks. Small price to pay for Jess to get a boyfriend. Now I was waiting on Dwayne to make a move . Finally the bell rang and we headed to our first period.

" Okay class turn in your homework to the bin in the front of the room. If your names not on it sucks to be you no credit."- Mr. Thomas told us

I put my homework in the bin and sit down.

" Lindsay why didn't you turn in your homework?"- I ask

" Dude I completely forgot about it."- She sighed

I felt really bad since it's the first week one zero is going to bring her grade down by a lot. I would of let her copy mine this morning if she asked. Mr. Thomas then start teaching about the Age of Exploration.

" In order to study American history you need to understand where it all began. Many people did not know that the Western Hemisphere existed they thought that the world was flat and that if they sailed too far they would fall off the edge."

This man would not shut up I really didn't feel like listening because we learn about the age of exploration basically every year. I want to know the interesting stuff like the Revolutionary war not how two countries who are old as farts fought over land that wasn't even theirs. I stare out of the window and watch as people walked by and were in conversations outside.

" Miss Moreau can you tell me why Brazil is the only country in South America that speaks Portuguese?"- Mr. Thomas asked

Oh great the one time I wasn't paying attention.

" Is it because they wanted to be special?"- I jokingly said

" No. It's because Portugal colonized Brazil. Also you would've known the answer if you were paying attention and not staring outside."- he responded

I sunk down in my chair. GOD! That was so embarrassing i wish someone would kill me know. Thankfully the bell rang signaling the end of the period. Sadly, that meant Geometry. I swing by my locker to switch out my textbooks and to grab my calculator. I go to open it and once again it's stuck so I basically have to beat the shit out of it to open. It finally opened and I quickly exchange my things and head to geometry. It was a boring class period like always finally I was able to head to lunch. I go through the line and grab a slice of pizza, French fries, and a Coke Zero. I hand the lunch lady my money and look for my friends I spotted them across the cafeteria and start to head towards them. Before I could Rick Riley grabbed my arm.

" Emerson wouldn't you like to sit with me and varsity?"- Rick asked

I knew what he was trying to do and I was not falling for it.

" No. I'm going to sit with my friends so piss off rick and leave me the fuck alone."- I yelled

I went to walk away but he wouldn't let go of my arm thats when someone comes up behind me.

" She said leave her alone. Let go of her Rick before I make you."

I knew exactly who it was. Dwayne . But before anything else could happen someone came and punched Rick. She stretched out her hand and said

" Hey, I'm Mari this idiots little sister."

I laughed and then started to walk towards my friend group. I finally get to the table and set my tray at an empty seat. As I go to sit down I hear someone ask...

" Emerson can I talk to you for a second?"- Dwayne asked

"Sure"- I said while standing up

" What was that all about?"- Dwayne

" Oh Ricks been flirting with me all week and I'm getting tired of it. He tried to get me to sit with varsity and wouldn't let go of my arm. I'm fine now though thanks to Mari."- I said

" well as long as you're ok"- Dwayne

I sit back down at my table and say

" Boy do I have a lot to tell y'all."
