I can not believe Rick Riley asked me out I mean it still doesn't even feel real to me. I mean the RICK RILEY likes me out of all the people in the school me. I had a huge smile on my face and he turned towards me.

"What"- Rick

"It took you long enough to finally ask me out."- I said 

" Shut up be glad I did in the first place."- He said while rolling his eyes

"I know I know I'm just messing with you."

We sit and talk for a while before he has to go. As soon as he does I rush to the phone to call Lindsay. 

"Lindsay!"- I scream into the phone 

"Now that my eardrums have been obliterated what is so important."

"Well, Rick finally asked me out."

"That's exciting but don't forget the plan you came up with."

"I know but what if I don't want to anymore."

"Emerson, either way one of you is going to get hurt you might as well make sure it's him and not you."

"I'll talk to you later Lindsay."

I hang up the phone and go back upstairs. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I mean I really do actually like Rick, but I also like Charlie even though what he said to me earlier. I really should talk to Connie I mean she always knows what to do. 

"Hey, Connie can I talk to you for a minute?"- I ask

"I guess. Do I really even have an option?"- she said

"No."

"Okay then start talking."- She said

"Okay, so basically the only reason I had started hanging out with Rick was to make Charlie jealous. Now Rick asked me out and I actually really do like him and I have no clue what to do."- I say

"Well, shit give me a second to think about what you could do."-Connie

"You could just see how things with Rick turn out and If it ends you could go with Charlie."- Connie

" I just don't want anyone to be a back up or get hurt."- I say

"At this point someone is bound to get hurt just try not to make it you."- Connie

"That's exactly what Lindsay said but the thing is I like them both and am so confused."- I say

" Okay, does Rick make you happy?"- Connie

"I mean yes."- I said

" Does Charlie make you happy?"- Connie

"I guess, but not as much as Rick."- me

"Problem solved. Go with Rick." - Connie said

" Okay, Thanks for the advice."- I say

I walk back to my room and lay on the bed for a while before my door opens.
