Twas two weeks before homecoming

*Time skip to two weeks before homecoming*

Emerson POV:

Its two weeks before homecoming and almost everyone has a date. Migz with Fulton, Lilli with Dean, Steph with Luis, Jess with Adam, Connie with Guy, Georgia with Julie, Lindsay with Lincoln, hell even Averman has a date.

I hope someone asks me at this point anyone even satan himself. I was sitting in geometry and I didn't have a clue what was going on but hey whats new at this point. Finally the bell rang ending my suffering.

That was until the teacher called for me to stay behind.

"Ms. Moreau you seem to be falling behind I will get you a tutor."

"Okay"- I said while walking to lunch

I go through the line and just grab a bunch of things and hand my money to the lunch lady. I then go to find my friend group and head to the table.

" Y'all will never believe what my geometry teacher said. I need a tutor."

" I can help with that."- Rick said

" Rick to whom do I owe this wonderful conversation to."- I say sarcastically

" Well I kind of need to talk to you."- He says

" Fine what is it."- I say

" Do you want to go to the homecoming dance with me."- He asks

I mean it was a date with a junior who is captain of the varsity. I hate him but a dates a date and since Charlie didn't ask me I can make him jealous.

" You know what Rick yeah I'll go to homecoming with you."- I respond

" Wait you said yes."- He says

" Yeah"- I laugh

"YES I DIDN'T THINK YOU WOULD SAY YES! SCOOTER SHE SAID YES!"- He screamed

I mean I hate Rick but his excitement did make me a little happy.

" DID YOU REALLY JUST SAY YES TO RICK RILEY?"- G exclaimed

" Yeah I mean no one else asked me whats the worse that can happen?"- I sigh

" I can make a list full."- Lindsay says

" Emerson! What's the reasoning behind this?"- Jess asks

" Okay, so if guys see me with Rick I'll look untouchable and guys want what they can't have."- I explain

" That's honestly brilliant."- Steph said

Just then Charlie and Dwayne walk up to the table.

"Rick Riley seriously Emerson. That's a new low."- Charlie says

" Well it's not like you had the guts to ask me. Don't even get me started on you cowboy."- I say

" Emerson why him?"- Dwayne asks

" You don't get an opinion on this Dwayne. You haven't talk to me in weeks. You flirt with me and then ghost me but the second someone else acts interested in me you act like you have a claim on me. That's not how it works."- I angrily say
