Ice Cream Hangout

To the eyes of the uninitiated, the ice cream parlor of Crème Pour la Beauté was a standard ice cream parlor that was just across the street but to Joseph and his friends, it was the best place to hang out, as the place was never too busy and they served good ice cream. These two traits were some of the reasons why he and the gang hung out there but the real main reason was the mouth-watering Mint and Bubblegum flavor scoops in the secret menu of the place. This secret flavor was only accessible to regulars of the parlor but Joseph and his friends saw this flavor and pestered the owner to give it to them but on the one condition that they must come back to the parlor regularly and at the age of 8, it was a pretty enticing deal. And Joseph and the gang have been honoring this deal for 8 years and were about honor once again as they walked into the doors of the parlor itself.

Joseph walked into the parlor with his friends in tow and the shop's entrance bell ringing, they walked into their regular spot at the booth in front of the window, and as soon as they sat a waitress came to them.

"Hello, welcome to Crème Pour la Beauté. What can I get you?" the waitress spoke

Joseph was the first one to speak up "I'll have the regular, same for the rest of us"

The waitress said, "Is that it?"

"Yeah, that's it" Joseph and his friends spoke in unison

"Okay, I will be right back with your orders" the waitress politely answered as she walked off into the counter to get their regular orders.

Michael wanting to start a conversation spoke up "Remember when James was trying to get this one girl that just kept rejecting him?"

"Yeah, it was like the first-ever girl to reject him, he was like super invested in trying to get this girl to say yes to him remember" Joseph chimed in

Josephine remarked "James was like all over that girl too, like at home he would make plans to get her to accept him, he even had a whiteboard if you believe it"

James starting to realize where this conversation was going exclaimed "That was like 4 years ago guys, just let it go"

"Yeah, okay you bum, so did you hear about the rumor that Mikhail and Alice are dating like whaaaaat!" Josephine remarked on an offhand note

James chuckled "What? You didn't know they started dating at the beginning of summer break, sis"

"Good for them, honestly I was wondering when those two would get together, they were giving each other the googly eyes since we could even comprehend love" Michael nodded

Joseph asked, "It was a long time going for them, so how did it go down?"

"Well according to the rumors, they confessed to each other at the New Year's Festival" Josephine asserted

James quickly corrected point his finger up "Uhhhh what, New Year's Festival was their first date, they confessed to each other in Middle School"

"What? How would you know that?" Josephine challenged James's remark

James quickly answered, "Well easy answer, I was there and I was the one giving Mikhail all the help, you think Mikhail would just up and choose to plan to confess?"

Joseph questioned, "So you pushed Mikhail to confess to what?"

"Yeah, for what James?" Michael agreed with Joseph

Before James could answer the waitress came to their table holding a platter with their order on top of it.

"Here's your order, 4 medium cups of Bubblegum and Mint Ice Cream, 4 cups of Iced Coffee, and Marshmallows, you can pay at the counter when you are done." The waitress remarked

The group quickly gave their thanks to the waitress before she quickly departed to the counter, once the waitress moved to the counter the Michael, Joseph, and Josephine quickly pointed their attention at James.

"So James, you were about to say?" Joseph questioned James with a stare

James groaned "I got tired of waiting for those two of dancing around each other so I helped them get together with the help of Jane for the Alice side of things"

"You worked with Jane to get those two together?" Josephine inquired while grabbing a scoop of ice cream

James remarked "Yeah, it surprised me as well but we just got sick of those two dancing around each other, and so we made a truce"

Joseph stated in a disbelieving tone "So let me get this right, you and your greatest rival Jane, the Jane who has been in a prank war with since we were 8 years old, the Jane that you are in love with, the very same Jane that you hate with a burning passion, got tired of this couple's games that you forced them to confess to each other"

James replied not taking all words in yet "Yep, the very same Jane... WAIT!"

Joseph, Josephine, and Michael burst into laughter from James's response as he was trying to dispute that he was in fact not in love with Jane.

But alas this was the moment where the lives of Joseph and his friends would change forevermore...
