After School Meetup

Back in the Infirmary, it seemed that hours have passed since his initial admission into the room, Joseph started to wake up from his slumber, it was getting late as the roof sunlights started to dim, Joseph could see the agriculture production lands from the Infirmary windows. He started to think about the kaiju and the photos that were shown in the entrance ceremony, the terror and fear in the people's eyes and the sheer size of the kaiju scared him, knowing that something like that existed just outside of the bunker and the only thing separating him was a metal wall that could be easily destroyed. He started to ponder how people live on with knowledge like this, knowing they can die at any minute but he knew that if he started to mope around all day, he would become a useless bum so he got off the Infirmary bed and signed himself out.

In the Hallway, he saw old posters promoting the Oxygen Re-usage Act was a law that was passed when he was little, where the families of Bunker-30 had to at least care for 3 plants. He started to reminisce about how every Wednesday that his mum and dad took him to the backyard and appreciate the bunker looking at the wild festivals of Asia Town, listening to the sounds of animals from the agricultural production lands and the sparks in corner of his eyes from the mining districts, each sound was distinct and unique, captivating the young Joseph.

Meanwhile, in the classroom, it was nearing the end of the class. The last thing the teacher said to the class was "That is all for today's lesson. Remember the due date for the assignments is on Friday!"

The words of the entrance ceremony were stuck in Josephine's mind, was she ready, was anyone ready for the infodump that was just dumped on them.

Midway through her thought process, James chimed in "What ya doing sis, being all moody, ya know we have a certain man that you're in love with to pick up"

which Josephine quickly retorted "There is no way in heaven or hell that I'm in love with that prick"

And James smirked that just screamed out 'sure'

"do you guys want to check up on Joseph or do you want to keep fighting" Michael frustratedly shouted at the bickering siblings, to which they happily went into silence.

The trio of friends glanced at each other and nodded as they finally walked off into the direction of the infirmary.

Back to Joseph, He was sitting on a bench not far off the Infirmary drinking some soda he bought from a vending machine nearby. And as he breathed in the fresh air, he thought 'This is so boring', He contemplated going Home but he remembered that if he went home now, the house would be empty as his parents would be gone at work, so Joseph did as any teenager in the same situation with a phone would do, he took out his phone and waited for his friends to come by.

After a few minutes, Joseph saw something in the corner of his eyes just across the hall, it was his friends Michael, James, and Josephine.

He got up from the bench and walked towards them "Ayyyy how was class!"

the three friends groaned "Not fun at all" as they walked towards him

Josephine was the first one to clear the silence "So how are you doing, Joseph?"

"It was fine, I just got out recently so I have just been waiting for you guys" He quickly chimed in

And as Josephine and Joseph were falling into a small conversation, James had a great idea that he would quickly regret.

"So Josie? Are you going to confess yet because I would love to go to the ice cream place right about now" James told the duo

This action would lead to a series of facial expressions that would go through Josephine's face as she comprehended those words that would end with James running off with Josephine chasing after him leaving only Michael and Joseph in the Hallway.

"So how was the nap," said Michael attempting to make conversation after the disaster that just unfolded upon them.

"Good, want to walk to the regular ice cream place because these two will take forever for these two to finish," Joseph remarked to which Michael nodded.

And so, Michael and Joseph started their stroll down the busy streets of Bunker-30 to the ice cream shop down the road, in the distance, you could see the Danger Twins as Michael and Joseph called them running towards them.

James screamed "HELP MY INSANE LITTLE SISTER IS TRYING TO KILL ME"

Which prompted said little sister to shriek "I WAS BORN 30 SECONDS AFTER YOU, AND YOU CALL ME LITTLE"

This little conversation had distracted both twins enough to lose sight of where they were going which resulted in them both running into the peaceful Michael and Joseph who were talking about how the biology of a creature the size of the kaiju interesting before being rudely interrupted by rockets that were in the shape of the two twins.

In the aftermath of the collision, Joseph called out "Hey next time when you're fighting try not running into us"

To which Josephine apologized "Sorry Joseph, we didn't notice both of you there"

This apology prompted Joseph to sigh "it's okay since the both of you are here do you want to go to the regular ice cream place with us" to which both twins responded with a swift nod.

And so forth the group of friends started their stroll to the ice cream place...
