"Since you can't seem to get it through your head that we don't like liars, it looks like you'll need a more permanent reminder," Patton murmured as he threads the needle.

"N-no, please no! I-I'll be good! I-I promise!" He begged, trying to struggle against the rope. Apathy's claws digging into his skin made him whimper and try to lean away from him.

"Oh dear, you've already proved to us that you can't be good," Apathy faked sympathy. He was quite literally incapable of sympathy.

'Why here? Why did they have to ruin my safe place? I'll never be able to stay in this room after this' Deceit thought. He was soon brought back to reality as a sharp pain pierced his lips. He let out a scream of pain only for him to be immediately shut up.

He sobbed as Patton sewed his lips shut in the most painful way possible. He tried so hard to fight back and get away from them but he was powerless. Tears streamed down his face and he questioned if anyone had heard him scream.

If they did, had they cared?

It felt like hours — and knowing the two in power, it likely had been. He felt sick to his stomach by the time Patton tied the thread and snipped it. They laughed as they left him alone, leaving behind the reminder than he was unwanted.

'So this is it, huh?' He thought to himself as the tears kept coming. His body shaking in sobs. 'This is how I truly die..'

His eyes opened slowly, unfocused as they tried to make sense of where he was. There was a weight around him which caused him to sober up from the sleep dazed state.

"You're awake!" A voice whisper shouted at him as something warm caressed his scaled cheek. He flinched, leaning away from the touch as his breathing became heavy.

"Myles," a second voice spoke quietly, "give him some space. No touching unless given consent."

The weight left him and he let out a sigh through his nose. He sat up slowly and tenderly touched his mouth just to confirm that he hadn't just fever dreamt that his mouth was sewn. His eyes adjusted to the dimness if the room and he looked at the two Sides in his room.

"Papa..what happened?" Myles asked. He held his arms out for his 'son' to crawl into them, and held his youngest close to him in his arms. He motioned for the other Side to come join them, looking like an exhausted parent in doing so.

The other Side hesitated for a moment before sitting next to the injured Side. "Was..-" they trailed off, as if not wanting to ask. "Was it Morality..?" They got their answer from the reaction they received. "Its ok, Janus, he's not here right now. Its just you, me and Myles..."

"Raven's right, Papa.. You're safe with us.." Myles murmured. For being the embodiment of Depression, he sure was a protective person. "Raven, can you get Remus? He might be able to talk Roman into getting Logan to help."

Raven nodded and left the room, even if they had absolutely no idea where Remus' room was.
