Three days. Harry and Tim didn't talk, or see each other for three days. Harry was embarrassed that he had spilled out what he was thinking, and Tim thought Harry isn't comfortable around her anymore. The bond they had build over the few days they spent together was barely there anymore. They were both cowards.
But, of course, they couldn't hide forever. On Friday morning, Tim walked to the library after three days of being wrapped up in her covers, a book in her face(even though she couldn't focus.)
Harry on the other hand, had been spending a little too much time in the garage with his dad, trying to distract himself from his previous actions. However, the reminder that he ruined their friendship kept on slapping him in the face. He felt terrible.
The weather had changed, and it was no longer sunny. It was windy, and undeniably cold. The sky was dark, and the clouds were a dark shade of grey. Only a few people were walking down the street, probably heading back home because of the weather, but Tim kept on walking until she reached the library. She didn't think Harry would be there, but she secretly hoped he was there.
She greeted Dave with a nod of her head and a small smile, in which he returned.
She hesitated, but didn't stop walking. She grabbed a random book from one of the shelves and proceeded to reach their spot. She was nervous, and absolutely terrified that he wouldn't talk to her if he was there.
A disappointed frown settled on her face when she saw the empty couch. She hopes were crushed as she walked to the couch. With a loud thud, she landed on the couch, and started to read the book she knew she would end up leave behind because she will get distracted.
An hour or so of daydreaming, Tim decided that it was time to leave, well aware that there will be no Harry today. She placed the book back in its place and left the library.
The weather got worse as Tim walked back home, keeping her head down to avoid getting her hair in her face. Suddenly, her body collided with something that caused her to land right on her bum. A loud groan of pain left her lips as she rose to glare at the person who bumped into her.
She clenched her jaw at Cameron, who was cockily smirking at her. "Watch where you're going, bitch."
"You bumped into me!" Tim hissed.
"Listen, you filthy sh-"
"Hey! What's going on here?"
Tim and Cameron whipped their heads at the direction of the familiar voice. Frowning, Harry jogged towards them. Tim had her hands resting on her hips as she glared at Cameron, whose smirk dropped at the sight of Harry.
"H-Harry, babe," Cameron ran his hand through his blonde hair. "What's up?"
"Stay away from her, Cameron." Harry said in a defeated tone.
He stood next to Tim, their shoulders almost brushing. Tim wanted to smirk because Harry was standing up for her. Her heart warmed with a feeling she couldn't fathom. But still, the moment Harry appeared, her stomach errupted with butterflies and she was feeling kinda funny on the inside, yet, she kept her harsh glare set on Cameron. God she hated him.
"Fine. I'll see you later, bitch." Cameron angrily stormed away from us. Harry sighed loudly before turning to face me.
"Hi," he breathed. Tim bit her lip to stop herself from smiling widely, because Harry is here and he defended her.
"Hey."
"Where are you at the library?" Harry scratched the back of his neck, nervously biting his bottom lip."I was just going there."
"Yes, I was walking back home and he bumped into me," she explained.
"Oh, I'm sorry he called you that." Harry frowned at the concrete. Tim placed her hand on his shoulder, squeezing it in reassurance.
"It's okay, Harry. I thought of many names to call him, too."
Harry cracked a smile, dimples appearing on his cheeks. "Good."
And then they spent about five minutes staring at each other, no words exchanged between them.
"I'm sorry I freaked out," Harry muttered. Tim shrugged her shoulders in response. She didn't know whay to say. Should she tell him that she thought he hated her or that their friendship was ruined forever?
"It's fine." Tim shivered, pulling her jacket closer to her body. The sky roared with thunder, rain drops suddenly slicing through sky onto the ground. Tim and Harry gasped in surprise, and had no time to move before they were completely drenched in water.
"I wanted to kiss you, and I'm not sorry." Harry confessed, his heart beat dramatically increasing. This is it.
Tim smiled widely, even though she was freezing. "I want to kiss you, too."
Harry grinned, his eyes lighting up like a christmas tree. "Come on," He pulled at her hand.
The streets were empty, no signs of humans. Harry blew out a deep breath, wrapping his arms around her waist. Tim was nervous. Was her first kiss going to be in the rain with a man? What would it feel like, and what would happen of someone saw them?
However, all the questions faded
when a pair of soft lips pressed onto hers.
