Chapter 6
As he leaves the news company building, Hyunjin frowns at the situation that Ms. (L/n) has put him in. He has to go back to the agency and explain himself to everyone as if they're going to believe him. He could even go to jail when he hasn't done anything wrong, and the rest of his group... it's going to be a long day for him. His thoughts spin around in his head while he waits at the bus stop with some other people.
"Oh, by the way, did you hear about that idol who was caught in some weird nightclub?" a high school girl at the bus stop asks her friend, instantly grabbing Hyunjin's attention.
"Of course, who hasn't? I don't think anything like that has happened recently, right? Wasn't he found high or something?" her friend replies whispering and gets a nod in reply.
"What a disappointment, I was going to start stanning them but I guess I'll just stick with Bangtan~," she says with a shrug, and the two of them giggle, move on and change the subject, while Hyunjin bites his lip behind his black face mask, his feelings hurt than ever. It's all because of that nosy reporter, that people are assuming that he's a junkie and that he and his group are going to lose so much.
Getting on the bus, he lowers his cap in case someone recognizes him and sits on an empty chair, still thinking about the long day ahead of him.
4:11 pm
"Have you finished typing the introduction yet, Ms. (L/n)?" a coworker from the research team asks (Y/n), poking his head out from his neighboring cubicle.
"Almost, just a minute..." she replies in a busy tone while hitting the keys on her laptop, then suddenly getting a few notifications at once, all coming from interviewers and reporters who want answers about the rumors she unintentionally spread and nonchalantly ignores them for the meantime, as usual. "Alright, I'm done with it!" she exclaims, sighing in relief, "I sent it to you," Her coworker smiles and thanks her, returning to his work. She takes her reading glasses off and stretches her arms, then her relieved face goes back to being tired and annoyed when she remembers the big project that's waiting for her. Ugh... I'll just charge him a lot of money. The girl gets up from her chair and takes a short walk to the bathroom to freshen up. Now that I think about it, why hasn't he called yet? It's been over two hours... Ah wait, I'm sure he's got loads of other things to worry about for now. I kind of feel bad for him because he didn't really do anything wrong... whatever, I should just start brainstorming what we can do about the rumors. She turns on the faucet and washes her face aggressively, splashing the water all over her suit. She grabs a paper towel and dries her wet face with it.

"A-ah, sorry."
"No, it's okay," Hyunjin replies to his roommate who accidentally bumped into him. Why is everybody acting so awkward around me? Do they really think I would actually do something absurd like that? He scoffs to himself, feeling disappointed, walks to his room, and immediately pulls out his phone, intending to call the reporter... what was her name again? He remembers the business card she had given him earlier. He flips the card and reads her name to himself, oh yeah, it was (Y/n) (L/n). A sudden wave of distress hits him just by thinking about his problems. How did I not expect this to happen? Sighing, he covers his face and groans, almost on the verge of crying, when he pauses his breakdown instantly after hearing his phone ringing. He looks at his phone and the caller titled; "Boss" sends shivers down his spine. This time he's actually in trouble. He gulps and hesitantly picks up the phone,
"Hwang Hyunjin, come to the agency. We need to talk. Now."
"Okay, I'm on my way." He replies, immediately getting up.
