- I won't be writing any chapters for a few days since San's grandfather just passed away, so this is my way of respecting him and his family. To new atinys, San and his grandparents are very close so this news may be heartbreaking to our Sannie. He's in mourning so I won't be posting any chapter to show respect. Send him love please. He needs our support.

narrator's pov

by the time it hits 5pm, everyone on the beach were asked to leave due to high tide. slowly but everyone was on their feet as the wave comes in. the gang went their separate ways to check out the small town of Gwangsan. because it was getting dark soon, sonny was accompanied by san and him alone.

it was set up by hwasa when they went separate ways.

"i might head back to the house." san said out of the blue, clearly not feeling like joining the gang to tour around.

"wait, san. you need to accompany sonny to the park for her photo taking. she needs it for her assignment." hwasa tried to stop san and grabbed his arm.

"i thought yunho was going with her?"

"uhh, yunho is joining the rest to tour around. since you don't want to join us, you better accompany sonny so she doesn't get lost."

san didn't buy that excuse one bit but he was hesitant on leaving sonny alone to do her work. she might get lost, kidnapped or fall into the sea. the thought made him flinch.

"um, you don't have to if you don't-"

san didn't give sonny a chance to answer when he walked pass her, indicating he agreed to follow her. when sonny didn't move, san looked over his shoulder. "are you coming or what? the sooner we finish, the better." then he walked ahead.

"i'll see you guys back at the house!" sonny readjusted her camera bag and ran after san so she doesn't lose him. once they're out of sight, yunho and jongho returned from the souveneir shop nearby.

yunho realized two people were missing. "where's sonny and san?"

they all turned to hwasa, who smiled sheepishly. "i may or may not have sent her to go with san to do her work. san didn't want to come with us to tour around anyway so i forced him to accompany her." from the sidelines, yeosang glared at hwasa. the boys were close when they were kids and san came into the group only in high school. yeosang never tried befriending san so he was uncomfortable with hwasa's plan.

"i could've gone with her." yunho frowned.

"it doesn't matter now. they're already gone. besides, i trust san to watch out for her safety. he has sharp reflexes." hongjoong brushed it off and took out his phone to search for places to visit.

meanwhile with the pair on their way to the park, san was, sort of, leading the way as if he knows where he's going while sonny followed behind, her eyes on the camera screen doing her settings.

san had his hands in his jacket pocket while looking up at the night sky. he looked over his shoulder almost often and sigh in relief seeing sonny still behind him but he was partly annoyed he was babysitting the girl who wasn't fond of him.

"i thought you'd refuse to go anywhere with me, seeing how you hate being in the same room as me." san spoke out, bringing the girl out of her thoughts. while she was pretending to look at her camera settings, she was thinking on how to start a conversation with san. they never got along ever since they met so she was awkward around him.
