kim sonny didn't know what love was, so, a bad boy taught what it was and what it meant. choi san, your typical bad boy, felt attracted to this girl. why? she was normal, right? so, how can a simple girl managed to capture the heart of a man like ch...

sonny's pov
"me? dating you, choi san?" i pointed at myself then at him, which he nodded in reply. "i rather get slammed by a car than dating you. weren't you having a fling with gyuri just minutes ago?"
"she came onto me." san emphasized.
"that's what men would say to defend themselves. i don't trust you."
"i'm not that kind of person," san's face dropped. "i may be a flirt and straightforward with my actions but i am not a predator to women. in fact, i'm afraid of them."
"why would you be afraid of them?"
san leaned on the door frame, his gaze lowered before it went back up to meet my eyes and smirked at me.
"because they're so devastatingly beautiful," he sang and twirled around like a crazy person. he came closer to me and poked my nose. "you are one of them." he winked and turned to go downstairs. i only watched as his figure disappeared back into the crowd downstairs. i wasn't sleepy anymore.
ever since that night after the party, i noticed san everywhere. whether it was the canteen, football field or the library. yes, the library. according to yunho, san is a book lover. he loves mysteries and thriller so he comes once a week to find those type of genres. the genres i was interested in.
i sat by myself at the hangout room when yunho, san and an unknown boy joined me. luckily it was a four-seater sofa.
"we missed you after the lecture. this is where you've been." yunho pouted, taking out his laptop from his bag.
"my second class got cancelled so i came here." i told him.
"should've texted me though. you always inform me beforehand where you're going." yunho's gaze was on his laptop already. "by the way, you've met my friend sonny, wooyoung. don't scare her." he warned playfully.
wooyoung was the one member in san's group i noticed the most, truthfully. he has the most unique features and he was an easy person to approach which i've been told or heard by my classmates. even though he dresses like nobody can touch him but he radiates big baby energy.
not my words, i swear.
"how rude of you to think i'd scare away a pretty girl. hey," he smirked at me while jerking his head upwards to look cool but san caught on and smacked his head a bit too hard. "what was that for?" he whined.
"who are you trying to look cool for?" san grumbled.
"i was only trying to be friendly since we're welcoming a new friend unlike you, san. you always give a bad impression."
"i agree with wooyoung. i hit san's face with my locker." that made wooyoung and yunho burst out laughing while san just coolly shook his head and proceed to read his mystery book. "what other genres do you read, san? that's the third mysteries book i saw you read this week."
his eyes stared into mine, the corner of his lips jerked upwards. "would you rather i read 50 shades of grey?" i stayed silent in awkwardness but he laughed it off. "i read that book and to be honest, it didn't excite me. i like my imagination to be wild but not that in a sexual way. i rather do that in action." he winked.
"oh my god. yunho, i question your taste in friends." i turned to my best friend who was typing away on his laptop. then i realized. "wait-"
"you're one of my friends though." yunho beat me to it and i hit the air in frustration.
yunho's pov
"you sure you don't want to join us for dinner? your parents are out of the country, right?" i asked sonny for the thousandth time. usually when sonny's parents are gone, hongjoong and i took care of her wellbeing because her mother trusted us to do so. sonny has this habit to skip her meals and starving herself. if hongjoong or i aren't watching her, she'd skip meals.
"i'm not hungry yet," she adjusted her bag on her shoulder. "i might spoil your fun if i go."
"you're not boring! i only got to know you for a few hours but i enjoyed your company." wooyoung told her and i felt relieved by his honesty. wooyoung loves making friends; it's the friends i don't trust. i'm afraid they take his kindness for granted.
"well... fine, i'll join you. but i'm not picking a place to eat!"
"fine by me!" i beamed with happiness. i noticed san was far from us looking at his phone. "san! are you joining us for dinner?" i called for him.
san looked up and shook his head. "i'm gonna head home. i'm not feeling it tonight." i looked at him confused. it was the first time i've seen san looking distracted and disturbed by something. but i didn't push it and went off with the others. sonny didn't notice and was talking with wooyoung until we reached the diner.
wooyoung headed back to the dorm so it was only sonny and i left behind. the entire time during dinner, wooyoung talked none stop and sonny was entertained by his presence. she was comfortable around him so it was a relief for me. although, there was jealousy when wooyoung kept leaning on her whenever he laughs but i brush it off thinking i shouldn't upset sonny because of my emotions. she can and is allowed to have guy friends.
as long as they don't hurt her like yeosang did.
