sonny's pov

yeosang was my crush in my first year in high school. he and i met through yunho's circle of friends so whenever i'm with yunho and hongjoong, yeosang and the others were there. san was their member but he was never in the frame until our third year.

yeosang had kept his natural 'virgin' hair until his third year, then i heard he dyed it multiple colours. i also heard pink was his iconic colour but sadly dyed it brown, later blonde, then finally jet-black hair.

that jet black haired man is now standing infront of me in his casual clothes instead of his expensive private college uniform; unlike his old fashion, it was oversize long sleeve with skinny dark blue jeans, now it's changed to a white short sleeved shirt and denim. written and drawn on his tshirt was a drawing that's all too familiar.

"hehetmon," i said out loud, catching him by surprise. i immediately covered my mouth thinking he'd be embarrassed i was being too loud but he broke into a shy smile instead, his blue contact lens staring into mine.

"yeah, i printed it into a tshirt. looked better than i thought it would." yeosang said proudly, flaunting his shirt by opening his jacket by a bit earning a scoff from my friend, hwasa. i nudged her so yeosang doesn't hear her. "you remembered hehetmon, at least. i figured you hate my ass so much you'd forget about my iconic drawing."

hwasa cleared her throat when i didn't say anything. "so, what are you doing out of your college campus, yeosang? i thought you'd be with seonghwa by now." she looked around as if to look for seonghwa.

"seonghwa had errands to do. i'm only seeing him this weekend. so here i am." yeosang said.

hwasa didn't respond and just hummed.

"w-well... hwasa and i were on our way to somewhere so if you'll exc--"

"wait, sonny. i need to talk to you," yeosang grabbed my shoulder before i could move. "actually, the boys and i have a bowling game night next weekend. i don't know if yunho had ask you but even if he did, i want you to join us."

"why would you want to invite me?" was the only thing that came out of my mouth. it was a direct question but i thought i wouldn't say it out loud. stupid mouth.

yeosang let go of my shoulder. "just come. okay?" unlike his cold demeanor, he radiated boyfriend material as he asked me out. before i could respond, he already walked away when his phone rang in his pocket. he went to answer it and waved me goodbye while walking away.

hwasa watched after his departure and scoff in disgust. "the audacity he has asking you out after dumping you in high school. how dare he thinks he can win you back after all that?"

"he's not winning me back, hwasa. we never had a relationship before." i admitted.

"what do you mean?"

i let out a long sigh. "he rejected my confession and threw my letter infront of everybody. that's why we aren't going out as friends anymore."

flashback;

"come on, sonny, it'd be fun!" 15 year old yunho pulled my small ass from my bed but i put up a fight and held onto my bed frame. "for someone so tiny, you're awfully strong!" yunho screeched.

"i am not going to your bowling game night! i told you i hate gathering with people i'm not familiar with." i pouted.

"please. it'd be fun. you haven't played bowling since a year ago. you were so good at it!"

"that's because i injured my wrist after the game. i refused to play a game that nearly lost me a wrist."

"it was a sprain; not dislocation. even your doctor said you can play again if you'd warm up and be more careful. please? i even bought you a safety wrist band." yunho said. he took out a small box and waved it infront of me.

"stop spending money on me." i whined.

"too late," yunho unwrapped the wrist band box and put it around my right wrist where it was injured. "there. you look like a professional with this." he said proudly.

i stared at my wrist band and i was about to reject his offer but my soft heart reminded me yunho spent his money on me like he always did and i sighed defeatedly.

"fine, but if i'm not comfortable, i'm going home." i said and it was enough for yunho to jump excitedly as he ran to my wardrobe to pick out my bowling game outfit.

yunho's parents offered to drive us to the bowling alley and dropped us off. i bowed to them as thank you and they drove off to their, what yunho claimed, date. i giggled at the thought. yunho whipped out his phone to call hongjoong but a car stopped beside us and hongjoong got out of the car, behind him was some unknown boys. i realized hongjoong might have called a service car.

"hong-ah." i called him and he side hugged me, brushing my hair. "i thought you'd use your driver."

"i don't want attention so i called service car instead." hongjoong said. "anyway, these are our other friends; mingi, wooyoung, jongho, and yeosang. we played football together."

"n-nice to meet you. i'm kim sonny." i shyly bowed at them and some did bow back, the other half just nod their head or wave back at me.

"she's a little shy with new people but there's a reason why we invited her to our bowling game." hongjoong said.

i shook my head so he doesn't expose what i can do but he didn't take my message and pet my head, "this little lady here can play well in games, even though she's not a member of any sports activities. luck is on her side all the time."

"i'm not that lucky." i mumbled. "m-maybe i shouldn't bother your boys' night out."

"it's not safe for you to go home alone, so it's fine if you're joining us. i'm planning to have you in my team so i can beat wooyoung's ass." mingi shot me a gummy smile, which i relaxed to. mingi seemed like a sweet guy when he's smiling.

"let's go!" yunho dragged us all into the bowling alley.

hongjoong and yunho's friends didn't last long with me after a week. i thought they would ask me to join them for a movie marathon or play games with me but they never did so i assumed they never see me as their friend. it didn't bother me but i was confused. we had a great time at the bowling alley.

the two boys were loyal as fuck because they went back to hanging out with me and we do our weekly movie marathon/sleepover during the weekend. i tried to tell them they should hang out with people their size or same gender but yunho once said,

"if i had to choose my best friend and a gang i barely talk to, i rather choose my best friend. friends before hoes... right?"

"yunho, no." i remembered hongjoong facepalmed at that and i burst out laughing.

hwasa and i ended our hangout as it reached 6pm and she had errands to do so she dropped me off at hongjoong's apartment and drove off.
