James was now three years of age and it was his first day at school. Steve drove him there and got out the car with him. They walked towards the building and James held Steve's hand tightly. James had brown hair with a random dark red patch. He was quick at learning and was quite strong. Steve picked up James and sat him on his arm. They entered the building and everyone stared. Steve smiled at all of the faces and put his son down. The teacher came over and said, "hello. I am going to be James' teacher, Miss Rupert." Steve and Miss Rupert shook hands and Steve left James with her. Before Steve left, Miss Rupert lowered her voice and asked, "Sorry, but are you... Captain America?" Steve slowly nodded his head. The teacher stared in shock as the soldier left.
At home, Natasha was changing the bed covers. She finished just in time as Steve came home. He came in the house and shouted, "I'm home!" Natasha walked down the stairs and hung Steve's coat up. She kissed him and said, "Was James okay staying there?"
Steve smiled at her and replied, "Yeah. The teacher there is Miss Rupert and she already knows who I am." Natasha laughed and walked into the living room with Steve. "Did you get up to much while I was gone?" Steve asked and Natasha looked back at him.
She looked at him and smiled. "No, I just changed the bed covers and tidied James' room." She walked up to Steve.
He looked at her and whined, "Oh, you should've told me to do it. I don't want you having to do all the work." He held her close and she laughed. "I doubt you'll do it, honey." She dusted something off Steve's broad shoulder and kissed him again. They smiled at each other. The doorbell rang and Steve went to get it. He opened the door to see a postman. Natasha approched them and leaned on the wall with her arms crossed.
The postman handed Steve a huge sack and was gone. Steve shut the door and brought the sack into the living room with ease. The couple sat down and Steve opened it. There was a load of mail, hand written.
It took Steve and Natasha an hour to get through it all, but they did. All the mail they had was fan mail. Loads of them were saying 'congratulations on your wedding'.
While the couple read through the letters, they realised the world didn't know about James yet. Natasha wanted to tell everyone about him, so Steve agreed. Steve went onto his Twitter and posted a photo he recently took. He commented, 'My beautiful wife, my three year old son James and me'.
Within two minutes, Steve got billions of comments about James. He then posted, 'sorry about the sudden news and I haven't told you in three years, but I thought I already had'. Steve and Natasha watched TV when suddenly, "BREAKING NEWS! Steve Rogers, a.k.a Captain America, has posted a picture of himself, his wife and his three year old son, James. He commented that he thought he had already told his followers, but he hadn't. Has he made a huge mistake, or will he be okay about it? This picture has already become viral and his wife Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a Black Widow, has liked this picture and commented 'I love my husband and son'. Sorry for disturbing your program, we will return to it now." The reporter disappeared. Steve and Natasha gave each other a high-five.
Not long after the report, Coulson called Steve. Steve picked up and Coulson spoke, "Hello Steve, I saw the breaking news just now about you, Natasha and James. Do you want me to pick James up after school and drop him at your house to avoid any crowds?"
Steve replied with, "If it's not a hassle, yes please, but if you're busy or anything, then don't worry." Steve thanked the agent and he hung up. "Coulson's going to pick James up from school today." Steve said to Natasha. She grabbed his shirt and pulled him towards her slowly. They smiled at each other and kissed.
