After school on the day Steve was talking in the assembly, he and Natasha were in the car park waiting for James to come out of school and pick him up. Children started to come out of school and Steve saw a little child sprinting and being chased by all the other children. The little boy was James. Steve got out of the car and opened the gate. James passed through and Steve shut it. They ran into the car and Steve drove off with school children running after them.

Steve drove around the area twice to make sure the children weren't following and when he was sure they had lost them, he drove home.

Natasha opened the front door and they stepped in. They took their shoes off and walked in. "Dad. Do you know how much you embarrassed me today?" Natasha laughed.

"Trust me, tomorow, they won't be chasing you round the school. They'll probably forget about it tonight." Steve put a hand on his son's shoulder. James went upstairs, got changed and started tidying his room. He put away a book after reading the blurb and Natasha came in with laundry. She put it away and walked up to her son. She kissed his forehead and went back downstairs.

Steve and Natasha were at the dining table. They were both sitting down facing each other, talking. James came downstairs at the moment that Steve leaned over his wife and kissed her. James got his school bag and took out his homework. He put it on the table and slumped down. He took out his pencil and read the paper. Soon, James started scribbling down some stuff and looked at it. He checked it carefully and handed it to his mother to see. She took it from him and looked. It was mathematics. In a matter of seconds she nodded her head and gave it back to him. He put it away and went to his room.

Steve stood up and bent over Natasha leaning on his hands which were grabbing the back of the chair. Natasha put a hand on the side of his face and kissed him. Steve moved a hand down to Natasha's thigh and she put her other hand on the back of his neck. James sat on the stairs watching them. He smiled and advanced to his room. He quietly shut the door, sat at his desk and started to draw his father with his mother. Whatever James drew, it would look like a photograph.

At 19:00, half an hour after James went upstairs, Steve went up to check on him. He knocked on the door and went in. James turned around and showed his father what he drew. Steve walked up to him and smiled. "You saw us didn't you." James admitted that he did. He had drawn what he saw when his parents were at the dining table and he was sitting on the stairs. "I needed inspiration of what to draw, so I sat on the top of the stairs and watched you for a few seconds." Steve ruffled James' hair and went back downstairs.
