A Romanogers Story

Chapter 41

"Sshh! I wanna record this!" Tony whispered.
"Well then, someone wake him up!" James whispered back.
"Is it okay to trick Steven?" Thor mumbled.
"Well, it is Christmas." James replied.
"Guys what are you all do-" Natasha started.
"Sshhh! We're gonna prank Dad!" James interrupted.
"I'll be in the living room." Natasha walked out of the bedroom and shut the door. Steve felt a cold substance in his hand which was hanging out of the bed. He moved his fingers slightly and felt a cold gel. It was sticky, but runny too.
"James, you wake him up, he's your father." Clint chuckled. Steve heard gentle footsteps on the floorboards getting closer to him.
"Dad, wake up! It's Christmas." James whispered. Steve opened an eye and saw James. He smiled and beckoned James closer. James bent down. SPLAT! Steve threw the substance on James' head and on everyone else.
"Nice try." Steve grumbled as he sat up. He got out of bed and put his shirt on. He walked into the bathroom laughing.
"Great." Bruce said.
"Okay guys, go clean yourselves up. Meet me on the 31st floor." Tony walked out of the room.

Steve and Natasha were the first people to be on the 31st floor. Slowly, the Avengers came up one by one. They had breakfast and watched TV, but now it was time to open presents. Steve handed out everyone's present and they opened theirs in a clockwise directoin of where they were sitting.

Thor got hair gel from Steve, earphones from Tony, a cloth to polosh Mjolnïr with from Bruce, a leather bracelet from Clint, a t-shirt from Natasha,  and slippers from James.
Bruce got special glasses from Tony, trousers from Steve, a pair of socks from Natasha, a science DVD from James, a choker (as a joke) from Clint, a new toothbrush from Pepper and an iTunes voucher from Thor.
Clint got a new type of arrow from Tony, a mini figure of Phil from Bruce, a pair of purple sunglasses from Steve, a pair of trousers from Natasha (his favourite brand), a small piece of gold from Asguard from Thor, a $500 gift voucher to spend at an archery store from Pepper and David Beckham's brand of aftershave from James.
Steve got a new phone from Tony that he made, a blue long sleeved button-up shirt from Clint, a pair of jeans from Natasha, a new pair of glasses from Thor, a new hair product from Pepper and a set of boxers from Bruce.
Natasha got new gauntlets from Tony, hair spray from Bruce, a new dress from Clint, her favourite perfume from Steve, earings from Thor, a new leather jacket from Pepper and a new belt from James.
Tony got new DIY tools from Clint, a lab coat from Bruce, a model of Mark IIV from Thor, an Ice wrist watch from Steve, a shaving kit from Natasha and a new headset from James.
James got a new laptop from Tony, a chain necklace from Thor, a model of his favourite car from Pepper, an iTunes voucher from Clint, a new phone charger from Bruce and a massive set of practical jokes from Steve and Natasha.
Pepper got $30,000 from Tony, a necklace from Bruce, hairpins from Thor, a shirt from Clint, a make up kit from Steve, an apron from Natasha and a pack of hair bands from James.

Steve was chasing James around the room and pepper was cooking dinner with Natasha. When it was time to eat, Pepper called everyone round the table to sit down. They ate everything merrily and chatted about the year.

When everyone was chilling out, James sneaked up behind Tony. He had a bottle of water with a sports cap on and he silently opened it. He pointed it down Tony's back and squeezed the bottle. Cold water rushed down Tony's back and he let out a sound. He turned around and glared at James. Steve started laughing and so did Thor.
"Good one, James. Good one." Steve was still laughing. James smiled and walked off.

Steve, Natasha, Bruce and Thor were going to their rooms to go to bed, as it was now 03:54. When Steve and Natasha were in their room, Natasha headed straight for the shower. Steve sat on the sofa and watched TV .

After half an hour, Natasha came out in her PJs and Steve turned off the TV. He kissed Natasha before going in to take a shower himself.

Steve and Natasha were walking around tidying up a little. When they finished, Steve brought Natasha out onto the balcony. They looked over the brightly lit city while holding hands. Steve squeezed Natasha's hand a little and looked at her with a slight smile.
"Natasha, you might as well look over the city while it's like this. You never know when the city might be destroyed again." Steve chuckled.
"Very funny, Steve. You could be right though. Loki did some pretty bad damage last time." Natasha faced her husband.
"C'mon. Let's get some rest." Steve lead Natasha back inside and shut the glass door. They got into bed and fell asleep.
