"Fuck," Theo growled as he rolled off of the mattress. "Did you come?"
Caitlyn shook her head and sat up, bringing the bed sheet with her to cover her chest. "You wanna spend the night, or are you heading home?"
"I don't know," he said with a casual shrug. "Let me hit the shower and I'll let you know what I've decided."
She didn't say anything as he walked into her adjoining bathroom. She knew Theo Wilder wasn't a one woman kind of guy, and she wasn't one to complain. But she also knew he wasn't looking for a quick fuck this night. He was looking for something else that didn't involve either one of them.
Theo deeply sighed once he stepped into the shower and dropped his head against the shower wall. For fuck's sake. Why couldn't he pull it together?
Obviously his mind was elsewhere tonight and not on the woman he came here to fuck.
He quickly scrubbed off the evidence of sweaty sex and walked out of the bathroom to find his clothes.
"Guess you made your decision," Caitlyn said, watching as he dressed.
He nodded. "Guess I did. Does Friday sound good to you?"
"Sure," she said. "I'm free, but you owe me dinner for this."
"You've got it."
Theo left after that brief conversation and got into his car. What the fuck was wrong with him?
Had he seriously walked away when he could have spent an entire night screwing around with no worries ahead of him?
Shaking the thought from his mind, he drove home and collapsed into bed for the night.
It couldn't have been three hours later when the excess ringing of his doorbell woke him up. Groaning in frustration, he crawled out of bed and made his way downstairs, blindly checking to see who was standing outside.
An involuntary smile found his lips when he saw it was Serena. He quickly opened the door for her and raised a brow when he saw the number of bags in her hands.
"It's late. Or early depending on what you consider to be three in the morning. But I went shopping and I had to show you the things I got."
"Sweetheart, I think Olivia lives on the other side of the city," he said, smirking.
She rolled her eyes and threw her bags on his couch. "I got things that I'm hoping screams sexy, and since you're the woman expert, I was hoping you'd tell me if I made a huge mistake in blowing off good money."
"Give me your best."
Serena instantly smiled and grabbed the first item from a bag. "Turn around."
Theo did as he was told and grunted when he heard the sound of unzipping behind him. Just knowing she would be standing naked in his living room made his cock twitch. Christ, this woman would be the death of him.
"Look at me," she said, her voice practically a whisper.
His eyes widened when he saw her wrapped in the tight red dress that rightfully hugged her curves. "Spin for me, sweetheart."
She took one spin and smiled when he approvingly nodded. "It's good?"
"Fantastic," he said, sucking his bottom lip. "What else did you get, gorgeous?"
She blushed and took a step closer to him. "Unzip me and see, Theodore."
"You're serious?"
She nodded, took his hand in hers and placed it on her back. "Unzip me."
