"HERE YOU go" Poppy spoke as she grabbed her and her best friend's sweets from her satchel placing her's into the pockets of her cream-colored trench coat.

"Why thank you" Esmond replied, replicating the fancy bows you do to those with royal blood as he accepted his cauldron cake.

Nyx grabbed her cake from Poppy's hand excitedly removing the tape that secured the top of the box only to be met with the familiar mouthwatering combination of vanilla cake and butterscotch filling she so greatly loved.

Her eyes widened in excitement while the sides of her lips curved upward forming a grin as she unbuttoned the cloth she grabbed from her bag revealing a reusable light blue fork.

"You're welcome" Poppy chimed in as she slid open the door to an open compartment sitting down onto the blue and green gingham cotton seats as Nyx sat beside her and Esmond sat in front of them both.

"Thank you."

She nodded in delight, grabbing her chocolate frogs from her coat and placing them on top of the dark wooden table that separated the three of them.

Poppy removed the lid from the pentagon-shaped box and in an instant, a chocolate frog jumped out quickly leaping away out of the compartment before they had a chance to shut the doors.

"Well shit" she blurted, standing up a second too late after the frog had successfully escaped.

"What card did you get?" they asked eagerly as they removed the wrapper from their plastic fork to indulge in their sweet, completely disregarding her frog leaving.

"Ronald Weasley."

"Might want to keep that card Es."

"Oh fuck off."

"Excuse me—but why are you using a plastic fork?" she questioned overemphasizing the plastic part.

"Why not?"

"Um because it's bad for the planet that's why" she lectured them effortlessly as if the struggles of earth were well known to most making sure to grab their plastic fork from their hand before they had a chance to use it.

"Thank you" Esmond sneered, being left with just an unopened cauldron cake. "Now how will I eat my cake?"

"Here." Nyx grabbed another reusable fork from her bag tinted blush pink, handing it to Esmond to stop them from further complaining.

"Didn't know you cared so much about the Planet."

"Yeah well, I got myself a girlfriend."

"See now this is why I need a boyfriend" Poppy groaned waving her finger in the air as she pointed to the three of them.

"Or girlfriend," Esmond added, biting into the moist vanilla cake.

As if on cue Scorpius slid open the doors ignoring to knock and prompting his elbow onto the wooden frame of the door as his blue sapphire eyes began searching for a particular redhead.

"I believe I was summoned" he declared looking directly at Poppy.

"Oh for god sake Malfoy leave her alone she's-not-interested how many times do we have to-"

"Malfoy?" Poppy interrupted repeating out loud and remembering that name from a person's exquisite performance at the theater and who she had met at Tomes and Scrolls.

She knew she had heard it somewhere.

"Yes?"

"Your father-"

"What father?" Scorpius hissed, fixing his posture. "Last I heard he was on some aurors trip."

"Oh, I-"

"If you'll excuse me I'll be leaving" Scorpious interrupted again loudly shutting the sliding doors as he walked away far from their compartment.

"And just like that my sudden urge to get a boyfriend quickly disappeared" Poppy sighed unfazed from his overdramatic attitude.

Esmond glanced at Poppy laughing at her comment before saying "Since when do you refer to him as Malfoy Nyx?"

Her cheeks reddened, setting down her cauldron cake onto the table. "Since forever?" she stammered, seemingly attempting to convince herself as well.

They stared at her and the way she had reacted to the question. "Mhm ok," they responded clearly unconvinced.

"Open your other frog Poppy." Nyx chuckled nervously, changing the subject as she pointed to her other chocolate frog that was set on the table.

She looked down on the table and grabbed her second box this time making sure that the doors were actually closed before opening it.

The frog hadn't jumped out like she had expected but instead had stood in place acting as an ordinary piece of chocolate like in the muggle world.

Poppy raised an eyebrow, pierced her lips together, and placed a finger on her bottom lip confused as to why the frog hadn't moved. "Odd isn't it?"

Esmond and Nyx nodded as they continued to finish eating their cauldron cake.

"And your card is" Esmond gushed, holding the s in place and using their fingers to tap on the table replicating the sound of drums.

"Harry Potter."

"No no no it's Harry Potter'' Nyx corrected, changing her tone of voice as she pronounced his name in an overly cheerful manner.

"No no no it's the chosen one" Poppy repeated, deepening her voice at the mention of him.

"Or—in other words, Ivy's father" Esmond budded in rolling his eyes as he remembered the many times Ivy would gloat over the importance of her father.

The three of them laughed oddly synchronously, Nyx making sure to once again mention Esmonds and Hugo's so-called friends with benefits relationship before arriving at Hogwarts.
