August is myth month! I seriously hope that sounded as much as a Discovery Channel ad as I imagined it.
But seriously: myths and legends. Whether you believe in them or not, they play a vital part in a lot of everyday things. I mean, how many things today got their name from something mythical?
However, this month isn't about existing myths. It's about writing your own.
RULES.
-Entries must be submitted before midnight GMT on AUGUST 31.
-No mature entries.
-No offensive language.
-Your work must be a myth (so it must explain a certain phenomenon, like why it rains, why volcanoes erupt, etc.)
-Please tag your work with #WritersBlockWritingContest so we can be sure we're reading the right story
Winner will be announced on SEPTEMBER 5.
