✿Ice Cold Chalk✿Kaeya x Albedo✿ /Genshin Impact <3

✿Chapter 7✿

Morning rose, and Klee was the first one to get up. "Kaeya! Albedo!" Klee shouted, "let's go back to the base!" Klee jumped up and down, watching Kaeya slowly wake up. "Kaeya your awake! Um... by the way your clinging onto Albedo... were you cold?" Asked Klee. Once Kaeya fully woke up he realized that he was hugging Albedo.
I don't remember hugging him.

Kaeya avoided the topic and sat up. "Oh Klee, looks like your full on energy! Let's prepare a fire outside so we can warm up and wait until Albedo wakes up," suggested Kaeya.

"Okay! Hehe!"

Klee and Kaeya went outside and set up a fire with leftover stone, sticks, wood, and many other unknown materials Albedo brought with him. "Yay! The fire is ready, can I wake up Albedo?" Asked Klee.

"Let him rest for 5 more minutes, then you can wake him up."

"Okayy!"

5 minutes passed and Klee got up quickly to go wake up Albedo. "Albedo!! It's day time!!" Albedos eyes started to open. "Oh Klee, good morning," said Albedo.
"Good morning Albedo! Me and Kaeya made a camp fire outside!" Klee said, "but Kaeya was hugging you the whole time you were sleeping, so your probably not cold!"

Kaeya turned his head the opposite away and coughed. "I see. How about we put away the tent and get ready to head back to the base? Jean must be worried about you guys," said Albedo. "Ahem! Yes Albedo sir! Hehe!"

The three of them started putting away the tent.
First they got rid of the nails, then started taking it down. (I've never set up a tent I don't know how this works) "Ah. Klee, would you mind getting my bag over there? It's next to the tall tree near the cliff," said Albedo.
"Okay!"

Klee ran over to get the bag for Albedo. Kaeya and Albedo stood together silently. "...So why exactly were you 'hugging' me when we were sleeping?" Albedo asked. "I don't know myself. Maybe I was just cold, haha."
They were silent until Klee got back from getting the bag.

"Kaeya! Albedo! I have the bag!"

"Ah, perfect. Thank you Klee," thanked Albedo.

"Let's head back to the base now!"
The three started walking over to Albedo's base. Klee was hopping half way there due to how much energy she had.

"We're here!" Klee said.

"Yes, and we better head back to Mondstadt too Klee. We don't want to be lectured by Jean now do we?" Kaeya stated.

"Aww... I totally forgot about that part... solitary confinement here I come..." said Klee in a disappointed tone. "Kaeya, before you leave I need to talk to you about something," Albedo said to Kaeya, "Klee, you know the way back to Mondstadt pretty well right? I'll be trusting you to get there by yourself. Your allowed to bomb bad guys if you stumble across any."

"Oh okay! Luckily all my bombs are snow proof! Hehe!"

Klee hopped away only to leave Kaeya and Albedo alone together. "Alright. Kaeya, I have a quick question for you," said Albedo.
"I'm prepared to hear it," Kaeya said.

"Do you like me?" asked Albedo.
"Huh?"
"Ah, let me repeat it. Do you like me?"
"Quite straightforward are you not?"
"Are you trying to change the topic Kaeya?"
"Aha. Anyways, what kind of 'like' are you trying to describe?"
"Hmm. The one Mondstadt is known for I suppose. Romance?"
"Repeat the question with the correct meaning will you?"
"Do you love me?"
"Such a sudden question."
"Indeed. May I have an answer?"
"What made you ask this?"
"It's quite obvious Kaeya. Think of the things that happened between us recently."
"Oh, now I know where this is coming from."
"Do you love me?"
"Most of Mondstadt does. Your very unique."
"I'm asking you this right now."
"Why wouldn't we admire you?"
"Kaeya this question is dedicated towards you."
"Just me?"
"Yes."
"Ah."
"So?"
"..."
"Well I do admire your looks and talents."
"I meant love. Romance."
"I love your talents and looks?"
"Your making this hard Kaeya."
"This question is hard."
"This question only includes one answer."
"Repeat the question?"
"Do you love me?"
"Maybe."
"It's between yes and no."
"Only yes and no?"
"Yes."
"Hmm.. well did I say Mondstadt loves you?"
*sigh* "luckily I interviewed Mondstadt citizens about this love thing before I asked you this.."
Albedo leaned in for a 5 second kiss and went back quickly. Albedo noticed that Kaeya was quite shocked when that happened.
"What did you feel inside of your heart when I did that?" Albedo asked, "This is for 'experiment' purposes, so you have to answer truthfully."
Kaeya sighed. "...Well my heart is beating quite fast. Perhaps I skipped a beat."
"..I see."
Albedo went over to Kaeya and pressed his hand onto his chest. Kaeya turned slightly red but tried his best to hide it.  "Indeed, your heart is beating fast."
"That's all I needed to know, you may head back to Mondstadt."
"Time for my daily Jean lectures," Kaeya said dramatically while running out of the base.

By the time Kaeya was halfway towards Mondstadt, Albedo sat at his chair and sighed.

Strange. Did my heart skip a beat as well?
Is this what you call 'love'?

Well, I can't get too attached to Kaeya..

...At least I'll try not to.

which is hard
but fun
