✿Chapter 8✿

Kaeya got stuck patrolling once again. Today is a busy day for Kaeya, but he'd do everything Jean tells him to do, even if he didn't want to. Best to avoid consequences. "Hilichurl camp.. Paperwork... commissions..." Kaeya was reviewing everything he needed to do for the day. "I'll be done by 5:40.. Perfect."

Long story short, Albedo has been drawing sunsets lately and invited Kaeya to watch the sunset with him.

Here's what happened:

Kaeya noticed Albedo walking towards him, raising up his right hand to signal that he needs to talk to him.
"Ah, Kaeya. I finally found you. I have a favor for you, mind listening?" asked Albedo.
"Of course, what is it?" replied Kaeya.
"You wouldn't mind watching the sunset go down tomorrow with me right?" asked Albedo, "I've been drawing the sunset recently and wondered if you'd like to watch me. Though the distance is quite far from Mondstadt once you get there, so I'll bring tents."
Kaeya was confused. Such a sudden question, Kaeya thought. "Alright, i'll try to be there near 6pm
tomorrow," Kaeya responded with.
"Great, thanks."

Now back to the present.

Kaeya got done with his paper work at 4:00, so it was time to do commissions. "All right, almost done," said Kaeya, "I hope Jean doesn't find out I left out some parts in the 2nd paper..."

Time passed by quickly, and it was almost 5:40. Kaeya got done at 5:39. "Alright time to get prepared and meet Albedo." He got his coat on, zipped it up and headed out of Mondstadt to see the chalk prince, Albedo.

"Ah, Kaeya, your here," said Albedo. "Didn't want to be late," Kaeya said with a small chuckle, "Are you getting ready to draw the sunset?"
"I am. The sunset will in appear in about 10 minutes, so do anything you want in the meantime."
Kaeya walked around for 5 minutes then sat down next to Albedo for another 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, the sunset has appeared. It was beautiful, so Albedo got out his notebook and started sketching it. Kaeya watched Albedo elegantly sketch out the sunset. "Wow, you draw pretty well," complemented Kaeya. "Thanks," said Albedo.

They both sat next to each other, watching or drawing the sunset.

Kaeya POV

Who knew the sunset would be so pretty.
Not to mention the way Albedo draws. I could never compete with his artwork, haha.
I watched Albedo draw peacefully with a slight smile on my face.
The wind blew and Albedos hair flowed with the wind.
Wow.
I chuckled.
"What's so funny?" Asked Albedo. "Nothing," I said. "I just realized how pretty you are up close."
Sh*t. I didn't mean to say that out loud.
I might as well go with it.
"..." Albedo looked away and continued drawing the sunset.
"What? Cant handle a single complement? I'm only stating a fact."
Shortly, I noticed Albedo was blushing quite a bit, but tried his best to hide it.
Ah, I get it now.

Albedos POV

Did he just call me pretty? Quite straightforward I must say..
Ah, I'm getting flustered. Did he notice?
Oh, I think he did.
I covered my face to hide that I was getting flustered.
Kaeya sat there, staring me slightly surprised. He smiled, then looked at the sunset once more.
Oh wait.
This is the perfect time to test out a small experiment.
"Kaeya, face towards me real quick."
Kaeya turned his head and faced my way.
I put my hand on his chest to find out that his heart was beating unexpectedly fast.
I took my hand off of his chest and continued drawing.
"Kaeya, you surprisingly flirty and somewhat straightforward at times," I told told him, "though you tend to be quiet once I become slightly flustered."
"Ah, so you admit that you were flustered," Kaeya said.
I sighed. "You figured it out shortly, so there's no use hiding it."
"You also avoid topics that don't fit your liking sometimes." I said.
"Are these complements?" Asked Kaeya.
"Indeed. It's only fair I give you complements once you've completed me."
(Third person now)
Kaeya stared at Albedo.
"Your quite pretty, and your extremely smart. Your drawings are very unique including your I experiments. Honestly....." 
Kaeya went on for about 3 minutes, naming all thes pleasant stuff about Albedo.

"...and that's about it."
Kaeya finished complementing Albedo.
Albedo sat there staring at Kaeya, in slight shock.
After 15 seconds of staring at him in shock, his face got red like a tomato. Albedo quickly faced the other way. Kaeya chuckled and scooted over to Albedos shoulder to see what he was doing. His face was still red, and he was silently counting. He ended up counted to 46.
"Are you counting how many complements I gave you?" Kaeya whispered in Albedos ear.
Albedo only got more red and looked away once more. He was silent. Kaeya enjoyed teasing Albedo, so he hugged him from behind.
"What are you-" Albedo didn't finish his sentence due to how Kaeya interrupted him. "Wow, your pretty short." said Kaeya. "Is that a bad thing?" asked Albedo. "No, it's easier for me to hug you."
Albedo didn't know how to respond. He sighed and continued drawing the sunset, even though the sunset was about to go down. Kaeya remained hugging Albedo from behind, and watched him draw.

"The sun is about to go down," said Albedo. "Really? I never noticed," Kaeya replied with. When Albedo was almost done with his drawing, Kaeya got slightly bored. Should I tease him once more? Thought Kaeya. When Kaeya made his decision, he looked at Albedo then kissed his ear softly. Albedo flinched then looked back at Kaeya giving him a slightly annoyed and kinda red face. "Alright alright, Ill stop," said Kaeya while laughing quietly. Albedo turned back and focused on his drawing.

"Im done Kaeya," said Albedo. "Really? Let me see."
The drawing showed a sunset so beautiful it almost looked like what Kaeya saw in real life. "Wow, you really are a master at drawing," said Kaeya.
Albedo didn't respond to that. "If you may, help me set up the tents," said Albedo.
"Gladly."

After a rough 19 minutes, they got done setting up the tent and putting the sleeping bags in there.
Kaeya sat down on his sleeping bag and yawned. "Today was an exhausting day wasn't it?" Kaeya said. "After you gave me 46 complements?" added Albedo.
"Haha. Your just too good of a person," Kaeya complemented Albedo..again.
Albedo laid down on his sleeping bag and faced the opposite way of Kaeya.
"Are you mad at me?" Questioned Kaeya. No answer came out of Albedo. Kaeya was confused.
So Kaeya moved his sleeping bag next to Albedo's sleeping bag, laid down, and hugged him from behind again. Albedo flinched because he wasn't expecting that. "Why are you hugging me again?" asked Albedo. "I enjoy hugging you, it's comfortable," said Kaeya, "plus, you're fun to tease."
Albedo sighed and went with it. Once again, Kaeya noticed that Albedo was a bit flustered.

Shortly, they both dozed off.
