We Cant Accept This

Seokjin

Taehyung is laying down taking a nap, we have a long drive tomorrow so I want him to rest as much as possible, the kids and I watched movies and played board games. "Jinnie-Oppa, when you move in with us will you play with us and take us to school", Josie asks. "Of course Jo-Jo, we will have so much fun, right big man", I say pulling Arlo onto my lap. "Yes Appa-Hyung", he giggles. I laugh and bop his nose. "Will you make me a fluffer nutter Jin-Hyung, I am hungry", Arlo asks. "Yea lets go melt some marshmallow's", I say carrying him to the kitchen.

I placed the plate in front of him with some milk, and I gave Jo-Jo her ramen that she asked for, I heard the bedroom door open and Taehyung had tears in his eyes, "Tae what happened", I walk over to him holding him. "I remember now", he says sniffling. "Remember what babe", I ask confused. "I know why she picked you, Jinnie please sit and let me explain", he leads me to the kitchen table. "Daddy Daddy, Jinnie- Hyung makes the greatest fluffer nutters, better than yours and mommy's", he says taking another bite. "That's great buddy, you two finish up your lunch so that we can start packing", he looks back at me. He takes my hand, "about a month before the accident Rosie asked me to meet her at a coffee shop downtown, she was sitting waiting for me when I walked in, she saw that I immediately noticed the barista behind the counter, I couldn't take my eyes off of him, he was so beautiful and when she cleared her throat I looked at her, I felt bad for acting that way but the boy took my breath away", he says looking into my eyes.

"It was you Jin", I gasped. "She wanted to talk to me about the kids, she made me promise her that I would always take care of them no matter what, the way she spoke scared me, but she didn't say anything about being sick, she then noticed that you ran to the door to help a man in a wheel chair, holding the door and then pushing him to a table and taking his order, she saw you were kind-hearted", he says kissing my hand. "She could see by my reaction to you that I was already smitten with you, I think that's when she knew", he ran his hand thru his hair. "Jin, it truly was destiny that brought us together, you weren't supposed to be driving on that road that day were you", he asks. I shake my head, "I got called into work because my co-worker called out sick", I said.

"Rosie wasn't supposed to be on that road either, she should have been at the school picking up the kids at that time, but instead she was driving home from the bar and fell asleep behind the wheel, Jin her car drove over a mile before finally veering over the median crashing into you", he shakes his head. "I have come to believe it is destiny Taehyung, I feel like I have known you my whole life, and I remember now seeing you that day at the coffee shop, I thought you were breathtaking, but my heart broke when I saw you sit with her kissing her cheek and holding her hand", I say sadly.

I grabbed his hands and held them to my lips, "this right here, us, is destiny, you were always supposed to be mine, and now I have you and my heart finally feels full", I say kissing his fingers. He smiles, "you're so cheesy." I laugh, "you make me that way, lets go start packing."

The next morning we start the drive home, finally after a month and a half I called my parents and told them I was coming home. They cried and were so happy to finally hear from me, I texted my friends saying I know they are angry with me and that I don't deserve their forgiveness, but that I hope they would allow me to see them and apologize in person, they all answered and agreed to meet me. Taehyung held my hand and kept kissing it as he drove, I couldn't help but to smile.

He pulled into my parents driveway and got out to help me grab all my bags, the kids are sleeping, but I lean in and kiss them both on the forehead and whispered I would see them soon. I heard the front door open and my mother coming running toward me, I hugged her tightly as she cried into my shoulder. "I'm so happy you are home, you look happy Jinnie, what happened, who are you with", she threw questions at me. "Hello again Mrs. Kim", Taehyung says coming up next to me wrapping arm around my waist. "Mr. Kim, this is a surprise", my father says coming to stand by my mom. "Please call me Taehyung, and it's very nice to see you two again, the kids and I have spent that last week and half with Jin at the cabin and we convinced him it's time to come home, it broke my heart to know he was there out of guilt for my late wife", he says squeezing my hip.

After Tae and my dad took all my bags to my room and he bid my parents goodbye he took me in his arms and kissed me deeply, "I love you so much Seokjin, once I get the kids home and settled I will start looking for a house, would you like to help me, it will be your house to ya know", he says resting his head against mine. "I'd love to Tae, and I love you too", I say kissing him one more time. I walked back into the house to two pairs of very judgmental eyes, "what, why are you looking at me like that", I ask. "Why are you with him and why were you kissing him", my father asks. 

"Tae and I have found each other after a horrible incident, we find solace in each other, I can't explain it, you would never understand", I say, " just please be happy that he brought me out of whatever state of mind I was in." "We cant accept this Seokjin, he just lost his wife and you are taking advantage of him", my mother says. "Excuse me, except what exactly, that he loves me and I love him, I'm an adult mother, I don't need your acceptance", I say angrily. "Love, Seokjin it's not love, its called grief, he is mourning for his wife and you are just a distraction, you will get hurt when he figures out what he is doing", my father scolds. I shake my head and run upstairs to my room.
