The sounds of metal grinding, glass breaking, and then the blood curdling screams that followed are what wake him up at night, he hasn't slept a full night since that day. Everybody said it wasn't his fault, but he cant help the way he feels, he survived and she didn't, she was married with kids. He thinks he sees the woman's husband talking to his parents outside the hospital door, he looks so distraught and sad, his heart breaks for him, what has he done.

So what did he do he ran, he ran like a coward to the one place he knew nobody could stare and judge him, the Cabin, it was a place of great memories, fun times, and great food, his Grandma was the reason he could cook, she was the reason he wanted to have his own restaurant, now that will never happen. For three months he's been here, and he doesn't see himself ever being able to go back.

He buried his wife today, he remember when he got the call the day of the accident, she was DOA before the paramedics even got there, the other driver was unconscious and taken to the hospital. It is a sight he will never forget, that poor boys mangled car, he hopes he will pull thru because no one walks away from a car that looks like that and his wife's car wasn't any better, he isn't surprised at all that she perished, there is nothing left of the front seat. Thank god the kids weren't with her but now he has to find a way to tell them, and he finds himself now being a single parent to her kids.

I need to go to the hospital to see the boy, make sure he is ok, I need to apologize. How can I face him after what has happened, when I get there I meet his parents and they tell me he is going to be fine, he is very shaken up and in shock, but he is resting right now. He offers to pay the hospital bills, it wasn't the boys fault, they try to argue but he insists. They tell him that the boy is in culinary school, that cooking will get him through all of this if he lets it. He excuses himself to go pick his kids up from school and tell them the heartbreaking news.
