Chinese Food

Dan's POV

There's a knock at the door. "I'll get it!" I shouted to Phil. I opened the door to find the Chinese takeout delivery person.
"That'll be 11 pounds(Don't know how much money it's supposed to be, Sorry) She says handing me the tiny boxes filled with our dinner. I opened my worn-out wallet and pull out what I needed. "Here." I said, nearly dropping the food.
"Oh yes!" Phil shouted from behind me. "The food's here! I'm starving!" Phil scared me because I didn't know he was there.
"Aaah!" I exclaimed. I nearly dropped what I was holding. I fumbled with the takeout out and looked up at Phil. "Don't fucking do that!" Phil just smirked and came over to help me with the food.
"Well, bye" the Chinese takeout lady said to me as Phil was carefully placing the food onto the table. "Hope you and your boyfriend enjoy the food!" My eyes widened and I snuck a glance at Phil. Good, he hadn't heard.
"He's not my boyfriend." I choked out, blushing.
"Oh!" The lady looked surprised. "Uh...Sorry" She said awkwardly as she shuffled away. I could feel my face burning.
She thought Phil and I were a couple! "This smells reallyyyy good!" Phil exaggerated the y. Then he smiled. "Yeah" I replied.
We dug in. The food was actually very good. Phil wasn't lying when he said he was starving. He devoured the spicy chicken, scarfed down the spring rolls, and nearly choked on his coke.
I wasn't very hungry. So I ate a bit of the noodles and then just nibbled on some bread. All I could think about was what the delivery lady said.
Phil finished his meal and stood up. "Ah well that food was AMAZING!" he presented to what seemed like the entire world.
"Yeah." I replied. The tiny portion that I had eaten was pretty tasty. All I wanted right now was to tell Phil about what the lady said. To kiss him like that night. That perfect night.
"I'm gonna go to my room." Phil announced "Soo...see ya!" He almost tripped over the chair on his way out. I giggled a bit and he looked up at me. He grinned.
I gawked at how amazing his eyes were. And his cheeky smile. I almost didn't realize that I was starting to lean in. Almost.
