Someone Comes Back...

One day, Shayne received a text on his iPhone while being on a day off.

He was taking a shower at the time, so he was not able to open iMessage until after he dressed up. After dressing up, Shayne went downstairs and sat on his couch before opening iMessage.

It was from his friend Damien Haas, who he previously worked with on the Disney Channel for the show So Random!.

His text said:

"Yo, Shayne. It's Damien. ?em rebmemeR

I've watched your videos at the Smosh channel, and you seem like you're having fun there. I was wondering if you'd help me with getting a gig there. I quit my old job a few days ago 'cause the environment was getting too toxic for me to handle another day there.

holla at me when you get this, man"

Shayne texted back, saying that he would gladly help.

A few days pass, and Damien was asked by Anthony and Ian to audition for Smosh. Anthony and Ian were impressed with Damien's repertoire prior to auditioning, so they gave Damien a job at the company.

Immediately after landing the job, Ian instructed Damien that his first appearance was going to be in a Smosh Live episode.

After the episode wrapped, Damien and the rest of Smosh Games went backstage. Shayne gave him a tight hug and said, "You did such a great job, dude!" Damien smiled and hugged Shayne back.

Everyone went back to work in the Smoffice afterward.

At 5:00 pm, Shayne asked Damien, "Do you mind if we hang out sometime later this week?" Damien replied, "Sure. How's Saturday sound? Also, your place?" Shayne smiled and said back, "Yeah, man."

Damien and Shayne made their way back to their houses after their short conversation.

When Damien arrived to his house, he sat on his couch and thought to himself, "I wonder why he wants to hang out with me all of a sudden. Maybe he wants to catch up with lost time?"

Damien shrugged off the thought and continued on with his day.

Meanwhile, back in Shayne's house, he went to the kitchen and started cooking dinner. He said to himself, "Why would Damien quit his old job, though? I thought they were being paid good enough there."

Three days pass, and Damien came over at Shayne's house.

When he arrived, he knocked on Shayne's door. Shayne heard the knock and quickly rushed to his doorstep to open the door. Damien gave Shayne a hug and said, "Hey, man." Shayne hugged back and said, "Glad you could make it, Dames." Afterwards, Shayne let Damien inside his house.

Damien went straight to Shayne's couch in the living room and sat down.

Shayne said to him, "You wanna play some games? My XBox is upstairs, though. Let me get it first." Damien smiled and replied, "Sure." So, Shayne went upstairs in his room and grabbed his XBox.

Shayne started setting up his XBox with his TV as soon as he got back downstairs.

While doing so, he asked Damien, "So, what made you quit your job? Didn't you tell me before that y'all were being paid enough there?" Damien replied, "Well, the higher-ups there were microaggressive towards their employees of color. That shit does not sit well with me. So, I decided to leave."

Shayne sucked air through his teeth.

He said, "Damn. That shit sucks. Well, hey. At least you saw the dirt in their system." Damien chuckled. A few minutes pass, and Shayne finished setting up the XBox with his TV in the living room.

Shayne proceeded to give Damien a controller and started playing some video games together.

A couple of games later, Damien and Shayne stopped. Shayne proceeded to cook lunch for Damien and ate with him. After lunch, Damien stood up from the dining table and said, "Thanks for today, Shayne." Shayne stood up as well and gave him a hug.

All of a sudden, Damien kissed Shayne's lips.

He pulled away a few seconds later and said, "Hope we could do this again sometime." Shayne gave Damien's lips a peck and replied, "Soon, man."

Afterwards, Damien left Shayne's house.

Once Damien left, Shayne touched his lips and thought to himself, "Damn, I missed having someone kiss me like that." Shayne's mood lightened up for the rest of the day.

A few months pass since working with Smosh, he was officially inducted alongside Boze in the Smosh Games channel.

Boze was asked to read mean comments, while Damien was asked to read fan fiction about he and Shayne.
