The time runs out

|The beginning|

Second year of college. But I already know how it will go. Partying all the time. There is nothing else that I can do better. I turned 18 yesterday and my roomate said that she has a big surprise for me. I don't know what it is yet but I am sure that I will find out soon.              

''What time is it'' I asked   

"You already know that''

For real I didn't know and also I didn't like Sofia so much but she was the only friend that I have.

"It's time for your surprise silly. So get up and put on the red dress that i got you" She said

 "You know, I am really curious to see what you have planned"

"I am sure you are"   

                                                                                                                                                                                                 After an hour I was ready to go. Sofia made me to put a scarf on my eyes so i couldn't see where we were going. Driving for 10 minutes we had arrived to our destination. From the smell and only I knew that this was the place where we organise our parties.             

''Take the scarf off" she said                    

 "Omg you did all of this for me?"            

"Of course. Otherwise what friend I would be"                                                

''You are the best", I said                          

 " I know that. Now let's go inside and celebrate your 18th birthday"                                                        

 Inside was everyone. I didn't know no one but that didn't bother me so much. I would drink some refreshments and then i would dance all the night. This is the only thing that i can do better.        

 ''Hey gorgeous can i get you one drink?" a random boy said                           

"No thanks. I am okay. I already have one."                                                               

"Okay..."                                                    

 After drinking a little bit I found my self dancing with Sofia. I already knew that this would be the best day ever.      

"Are you okay?" I asked her.                      

"Yeah. I thought I saw someone checking on you"                                       

"Where?"                                                  

"In the corner."                                            

"You must be drunk because there is no one there" I said                                 

 "No there he is again. He is creepy."        

 I turned around quickly and I saw him. A man around 30, tall, with a suit. I had a feeling that i knew him from somewhere but I couldn't remember.    

''Hello Amber. Happy birthday" he said               

"Who are you?" I asked                

"It hurts me that you don't remember me. Although we have to see eachother for almost 5 years."                  

 "Mark?"                                                

"Yeah that's me."                                             

 "You know him?" Sofia asked me            

''Yeah. He is a very old friend of my mom and also what do you want Mark?"

"I want to  speak with you privately. It's important." he said                             

 '' Okay. We can go upstairs. Sofia I will be back as soon as possible."            

"Alright" she said.                                       

 Ten minutes have passed from when we went upstairs. We weren't speaking. We were only looking eachother.            

"You have grown up. At first I couldn't recognise you" he said                               

''Can you tell me why you are here?"      

" If that is what you wish i will tell you. You know you turned 18 and..."             

  "And what?"                                                

"And in the light world your fate has been determined beacause of your dangerous powers. You will have only a year to live. Then you will forget evryone that you know. I am really sorry."

"WHAT?"                                                      

 I don't remember what Mark said after that beacause i blacked out.
