Launchpad's Broken Heart

Launchpad McQuack has been moping around all through the month.

He doesn't even crash the plane anymore because he refuses to fly the plane up in the air.

He flew it like the Wright Brothers' plane. Only a few feet up in the air.

Scrooge was getting more irritated with Launchpad's behavior.

So, he sat him down and the whole family surrounded him.

"Alright, Launchpad. Your flying is without crashes, we hear no positive remarks or stupid remarks, and you don't even smile anymore. What is going on?" Scrooge asked.

Launchpad looked up and handed a picture of him with a woman, they were standing next to each other, she was looking at her phone instead of at the camera, looking bored, while Launchpad was smiling at the camera with his arm around her.

"My girlfriend, Claire dumped me. We've been dating for 6 months and I thought she was the one. But she left me because her ex boyfriend moved back to town." Launchpad said, sadly.

"Oh I see." Scrooge said, sadly.

"You really thought that self centered drama queen was the one?" Louie asked.

Webby nudged Louie, sat next to Launchpad and placed her hand on his.

"Launchpad, I'm sorry. But if she dumped you for that reason, maybe she isn't the one for you." She said.

"I agree. I mean, come on. You're the coolest guy ever. What girl wouldn't want you?" Dewey asked.

"You'll meet the right girl, Launchpad. There is someone for everyone." Huey said.

"Maybe you can make her feel bad by making her think you came into a wealthy inheritance. You know, dress up in a suit and......." Before Louie could finish, Scrooge interrupted him. 

"Louie, that's not the way to a woman's heart." He turned to Launchpad. "Why don't you go for a walk? Clear your mind. Which shouldn't take that long." He said.

Launchpad nodded. 

"Okay. I'll see you guys later." He said. 

He stood up and walked out.

"To be honest, I didn't really like her. She wasn't very nice to Launchpad and all she did was talk about herself. I mean, you saw the picture. She wasn't even smiling." Dewey said.

"What would Launchpad see in a woman like that?" Huey asked.

"I know. Launchpad may not be that bright, but he definitely knows a good and bad influence." Scrooge said.

"Well, that makes 6 girls who dumped him. I wonder whose next." Louie said.

"I bet the next girl he meets will be the one. 7 is the charm." Webby said.
