Launchpad took a walk around town.

He went through downtown, uptown, the mall, and then he reached the park.

He sat on a bench and looked at the picture.

"Maybe they're right. I mean, if she truly loved me, she would have stayed with me. I mean, look at her. She rarely ever smiled when I saw her and she bossed me around." He thought to himself.

He then took the picture in his hands and ripped it in half.

"I just wish I knew if the perfect girl really does exist." He thought.

He then heard someone singing.

It was a beautiful sound.

"Hm, I wonder who that is. Better go check it out." He got up and followed the voice.

He kept walking until he reached a crowd of people surrounding a woman.

He tried to see who the performer was.

When he cut through an opening, he just saw the most beautiful woman in the world.

"Wow." He said to himself.

The minute he laid eyes on her, he was instantly lost.

In her beauty and her voice.

"Beauty starts and ends with her. Did I seriously just say that? Wow. I never knew I could be so poetic." He said to himself.

But her song was interrupted by a woman.

"There you are!" She said, rudely.

"Oh, Ms. Carver." The girl said, in fear.

The older woman took the cup that was next to her, which was full of money given to her by the people who were listening to her sing.

She took the money inside.

The people walked away.

"Wait a minute! I earned that money!" She tried to take it back, but the older woman shoved her away.

"And you owe me for the time you missed on your shift. You should have been at work 10 minutes ago! I mean, did you really think you could ever become a singer? Who would want to hear that awful sound? Now get to work or you are fired!" Ms. Carver said, walking away.

Launchpad felt bad for how this young beauty was being treated.

She tossed the cup at her.

The girl picked it up.

Launchpad walked over and put a dollar in it.

"You have a beautiful voice." He said, smiling.

She looked up at him and smiled. "Thank you."

She stood up and looked into Launchpad's eyes.

"Whoa." Launchpad said, looking into her hazel eyes.

"What's your name?" They both asked at the same time.

They both laughed.

"Ladies first." He said.

"Leela. Leela Tauras." She said.

"Leela. Wow, that's a beautiful name. Wait, Tauras? Like Tauras and Diamond Traveling Circus?" He asked.

"Yes. That's the family business." She said.

"Wow. Cool. I'm talking to someone from the circus. I'm Launchpad. Launchpad McQuack." He said.

They shook hands.

The minute their hands touched, they felt a spark.

"Uh well, it was nice meeting you, but I should be getting to work." She said.

"Where do you work?" He asked.

"The diner on fifth street. Hopefully I'll find something new." She said.

"Well, maybe I'll come by for lunch." He said.

"Sure. Nice meeting you." She said, walking away.

Launchpad watched her as she walked away.

He then went back to the mansion with a smile on his face.
