His Husband

Three week passed by like this. Taehyung and Jungkook were extremely busy with their work. They would have breakfast together and then go to their work either together or separately.

Today was no exception. It was 7 in the evening and Taehyung was checking some files. He was so tired, he even yelled at few of his staff for making a lot of mistakes in their project. And now, he himself, was correcting all their mistakes in a very bad mood. All the staff was still there cause they knew their boss was extremely angry, and they didn't want to lose their jobs.

Taehyung had actually planned a date with his husband, but because of this stupid project, and the ignorance of some of his workers, he had to go home late. By now, his head was aching a lot and it was difficult for him to concentrate. He called his secretary to his office. She came within a minute.

Taehyung: Miss Rose! I am trusting you with these files. I hope you correct all these for the meeting tomorrow. I am going home.

With that, he got up from his seat and started grabbing his things.

Rose: Yes sir, you'd not be disappointed.

Taehyung gave her a small smile and left. Rose was on Cloud nine that her boss, also her crush (more precisely; her obsession) gave her a smile. She started working on the files because she didn't want to disappoint her boss.

It was dark and almost 9. Taehyung hates driving alone at night. He usually has a driver but Today, he came office by himself. So, he has to drive back home, too. He got in the car and drove back home.

In Jungkook's Office:

It was 6 in the evening and Jungkook was checking some files. He was quite happy, cause he and Taehyung are going on a date after work. He got a call from Taehyung. His face immediately brighten up, seeing the name of his husband popping up on the screen. Thinking its already time to leave the work, he picked up the phone, but his expressions changed upon hearing the voice of his baby sounding so tired and depressed.

Taehyung: Hello Kookie!

Jungkook: Baby! What happened?? You are sounding tired.

(I don't know why but I love Taehyung being called baby🥺 by Kookie. So, plzz bear with this)

Taehyung: I am sorry Kookie. I won't be able to make it to our date. I was really looking forward to it, but some stupid workers have messed up the whole project, and you know the meeting is tomorrow. We'll go some other day.

Jungkook knew how his husband has been so worried about this project and the meeting with the Choi Corps. Taehyung had been working till late night, and was so nervous about this.

Jungkook: It's okay, baby. Don't worry about that. Don't stress yourself. The meeting is going to be fine. I know you'll do great.

Taehyung: Thank you, Kookie. I love you.

Jungkook: I love you too baby. Don't stress yourself.

With that, they hung up the call.

Jungkook wanted to help Taehyung in his work, but the other won't let him, saying that he(Jungkook) doesn't have to worry about his(Taehyung's) work too. He got up, grabbed his keys and left the office.

On his way back home, he called Namjoon to inform that he is leaving. Jungkook reached home. He freshened up and wore comfortable clothes. He decided to make dinner for Taehyung. He just wanted to help his husband in relieving stress.

Honestly, Jungkook was also going to be the part of the meeting tomorrow. It was a meeting between all the big companies that includes so many investors and Jeon Corps was also the part of it. He knew Taehyung was going to present the project. It was once in a year ceremony type meeting in which all the CEOs of the big companies would gather and make plans for the next year. It was Taehyung's 2nd time attending the meeting and first time presenting the project, that's why he was hella nervous. Jungkook, on the other hand, had attended the meeting for 4 to 5 times (he attended one with his father, too). But, Taehyung didn't know that his husband is also going to be there. Last year, Jungkook was out of country for a business trip, so he didn't attend the meeting.

Jungkook had made Taehyung's favourite for dinner. It was quarter past nine when Taehyung reached home. Jungkook heard the car sound and went to open the door to welcome his husband.

Taehyung's side:

Taehyung reached home and got out of the car. When he was about to open the door with his key, the door opened, revealing his husband with a cute, bunny smile on his face, wearing an apron. He immediately pulled Taehyung in his embrace. Taehyung forgot all his worries and just hugged back his husband. He felt so safe in his arms. Jungkook broke the hug and looked at Taehyung. Taehyung had dark circles around his eyes. And he was looking so tired. He pecked him on his lips and then said "Go freshen up. I'll set the table". Taehyung hummed and went to their bedroom to change.

Taehyung came back within 20 minutes. Jungkook had already set the table and now was waiting for his baby. Taehyung loved his husband's cooking. He makes the best dishes and always Taehyung’s favourites. He sat next to Jungkook and they both had their dinner together, with Taehyung whining about the work and meeting, and Jungkook smiling at his husband's cuteness. They both slept peacefully in each other's arms that night.
