Akatsuka High School, Akatsuka City.. 7:40 a.m
Your POV It was yet another day in my high school. I was in front of my locker, talking with my girlfriends ; Totoko, Norimoto, Dobsu, Uehera and Iwase. We were conversing about our usual topics and gossiping about other students around our campus. Everyone loves us but I really didn't mind. I don't care about how others feel about me but I gotta admit, I love the attention I'm getting.
"Ne Ne~ Y/N-chan! Uchikawa asked me out last day after school!" Iwase said in a dreamy voice while looking down with a finger on her sly lips. I stopped in the midway of taking my books out as I heard her speak.
"Eeehh? Uchikawa already asked you out?" I pouted at her in sadness and disbelief.
"Mhm, he even asked me to be his date for our school's upcoming class party." Iwase replied me with an eye-smile. Though, it isn't much of a surprise that he asked her out. They made a really cute pair. I heaved out a sigh as I closed my locker, after taking out my required books for my first class.
I would be lying if I said that I totally did not feel any sort of jealousy at Iwase's luck in finding a partner.
"I wish I found someone like Iwase did too.." I said in a low voice, looking down as I said so.
"What do you mean, y/n-chan? You will definitely find a cutie that will capture your heart" Dobsu said while patting my shoulder. "Totally." Norimotoagreed with Dobsu's statement.
Here's another thing you should know,
Me, Totoko, Dobsu, Iwase, Norimoto and Uehera were one of the popular girls in our school. I didn't want to do anything with this group nor do I wanna be in this very group because they were often mean to other boys and girls of our school. Heck, even the teachers would go easy on them.
However, being a gardening club member, I became close with one of them who was in the same club as me; Totoko, who later on introduced me to rest of the girls. Once I was in the group, there was no turning back. As long as I was hanging out with them, I had to act like one of them. Though, I am still the nicest one.
"I know but like, I want someone like Yanagida... I was talking about him." I whined out with a face of distraught. "If we ain't together then I'm gonna slap the girl he comes with to the party." I said with a fist in the air, getting nods of approval from the others. We were laughing for a while until a high-pitched voice interrupted us.
"O-Ohayogozaimasu, y/n-chan.." My friends let their eyes trail to the owner of this particular voice, their laugh faltering. I didn't had to turn around to see who it was because I already knew who it was going to be.
There was only one person who would greet me in an ever so polite voice.
"Oh look, it's y/n-chan's wittle bwrother~" Uehera whispered to the others in their ears but audible enough for me to hear. They let out a typical high school girls giggle. I gave Totoko and Uehera a ostentatious eye-roll before I put on a fake façade.
"What's up, Choromatsu?" I said in a bored tone as I finally turned to him, surprised to see him all nervous and shy.
Now about Choromatsu, well he was a..... friend? I only used to hang out with him and his brothers when no one was there. I knew them since we were small kids, but we eventually lost contact after we reached middle school. Now we're in contact again since high school.
Now you might be wondering why I hangout with him in secret. Well, Choromatsu was often known as "The School's Nerd" even though he really isn't one. He is only known as a Nerd all because of his appearance and attitude which is just stupid, in my opinion..
He wears glasses, acts like a typical book worm and a huge manga addict. Out of the 6 brothers, I was closest to Choromatsu and had this special bond even before I joined Totoko and her gang. He is almost like a cute little brother to me, which Uehera teases me about. He was very sweet and always listened to my problems - even if it included about other men and intimacy.
He frequently got bullied by some delinquents at our school so I didn't want to do anything with him especially if my friends were around me. Otherwise, they would think I'm a wimp for hanging out with him.
"Come on, you know that I don't have a whole damn day." I said as I hurried him to speak up.
"A-Ah Yes, I was w-wondering..." He trailed off while fixing his glasses to increase more time probably. I quirked an eye brow at him.
"Spit it out, Choromatsu. You do realize we have to get back to our classes in a few minutes." I explained him, which caught his attention.
"I was wondering if you could be my date for our school's upcoming class party.." He blurted out in just on single breath with his eyes squinted in. I could already sense Iwase and Uehera giggle while playfully pushing each other. Meanwhile Totoko cracked me a small smile.
I already started to feel awful for Choromatsu. 'Why the hell did he had to ask in front of them? Now they're not going to let him attend the school in peace' I thought. I just stood there, frozen, not knowing what to reply with.
A drop of sweat ran down my forehead, whilst both the girls and Choromatsu waited for me to give a reply. My lips twitched, when a giggle left my mouth which later got replaced with a hearty laughter. This made Choromatsu look up to me confused, his eyebrows furrowed. I pinched his cheeks with a soft smile.
"You are so adorable, Choro-kun~" His eyes got wider which got exaggerated by his glasses.
"Let's go guys." I said turning towards the other girls, leaving Choromatsu with his head lowered down.
A feeling of guilt and shame washed over me in waves. I turned around and looked over my shoulders to see Choromatsu holding his elbow, sulking at his spot. I felt sorry for him but there was no way that I was going to ruin my own reputation at school, just so that I could please him.
Later on..
While we were walking to our classes, suddenly Iwase stopped me at the entrance of our class. I knew what was coming so I just let it happen, without questioning her.
"You know y/n-chan, you should really do something about that nerd, Choromatsu. He's definitely being a bother to you." Iwase said while she looked at me with an intense stare. I sighed and looked at her.
"No I don't think I need to do that for now. Besides, I don't really care so just let him be, Iwase-san" I said while trying to get inside the classroom but got blocked again by Iwase turning me around by my shoulders, a bit harshly.
A little did I know, someone was recording whatever was happening.
