Y/N's POV
After Atsushi dragged me out of class, we were walking down the quietest corridor of our section. None of us spoke a word, just the peaceful solitude of the hallway and the sounds of our footsteps in tow. I kept taking a glimpse of Atsushi's face now and then. I wasn't exactly sure where we were walking as I was immersed in my thoughts. I am indeed very thankful for Atsushi stepping in to defend me. But I could not help but wonder about what he said back in the class about Uchikawa.
"Hey um Atsushi?"
"Yeah? What's the matter?" He asked while turning his head to my side as we continued walking.
"Was it true what you said.... back in the class?" I asked meekly. Atsushi just gave me a small smile as he whipped his head towards me, looking intrigued at my question.
"Yeah, it's true. That night at the party, I walked in on them eating each other's mouths out. Disgusting but at least I knew about it. I immediately walked out, not sure if they even noticed it." Atsushi said with a grimaced look on his face making me laugh quietly at it.
"Also I came to know about what had happened to you y/n-san" Atsushi stated after a while. I looked at him quizzically before realizing what he meant. I looked away in embarrassment, a red hue plastered on my face till my neck.'The whole school definitely came to know about it.'
"Don't worry y/n. I convinced my uncle to let go of it when he found that one of the private lounge keys has been stolen and used." He said and I looked at him awkwardly before switching my gaze off him. He noticed this and placed a hand on my shoulder which caught me off guard.
"Even after all this, I still am never going to change my old image of you y/n. I'm sure all of this has to be some kind of a mistake." Atsushi said with a smile radiating benevolence.'Oh Atsushi dear, how I wish I could tell you how all of this was my fault, to begin with.' I nodded and bowed slightly and mumbled thanks to him and we continued walking.
It was awkward between us again and we got ourselves in a sticky situation. This went on for a good while before Atsushi cleared his throat. "I'm gonna go this way y/n. If you're ever troubled by anyone at our campus, just let me know okay?"
"Alright, Atsushi. And um thank you..again." He flashed me one more quick smile with a nod before walking off to wherever he went. I stood there in the middle of the hallway, watching his figure disappear. I shook my head and headed to the restroom.
'I want this day to be over'
Next Day
The next day came over quickly. I stood in front of my locker with tired eyes. The day was not so harsh on me today like the last time. Some students looked at me with judgemental looks, some who laugh quietly to one another and pointed fingers at me and a few students who called me names while I passed by. I tried my best to ignore these looks and comments from them but sometimes it just gets a bit too much for me to handle.
