"Choromatsu-kun!!"

"Y/N-Chan!!"

Two little kids ran about, chasing each other as they roared with laughter. A big smile plastered on their youthful faces. The autumn wind blew ever so softly, caressing their bodies while they ran through the wind.

"And.... CATCH!" shouted the little boy as he tackled her down to the ground, securing her in his arms. His upper arm supporting her head so that it doesn't hurt her, he laughed just as much as the little girl did.

"How are you so good at this game, choro-kun?" The girl, who was named Y/N asked the boy, who went by the name Choromatsu. Choromatsu shrugged and replied simply. "I don't know, I just run fast I guess."

Tiny giggles had escaped from their mouth and then a comfortable silence fell. They stayed like that for a while, cherishing each other's presence and warmth until Choromatsu spoke again.

"I hope it stays like this forever..." He said making the girl confused.

"Hm?" She hummed at his statement. Choromatsu had let out a Tch before playfully flicking her forehead. "Silly, I meant that our friendship would last like this forever." He said, looking at her with an angular smile he always had for her.

"Of course it will! I will never let our friendship break even if you want to let go. This is a promise from Y/N L/N that no matter what happens, I will always stay by choro-kun's side and I shall always protect him." Younger Y/N said proudly and interlocked her pinky with his, sealing the promise.

"Yeah, I hope you keep your promise, Y/N-chan."

Y/N's POV
Weekends passed by way too quickly to my liking. I groaned as I realized I had to go to school today which means I'll have to encounter Choromatsu for the next couple of days. Pain. I mean I did wanted to apologize to him properly and plead him to forgive me but at that same time, I don't have the strength to even look at him.

The fever I got from the last two days had cooled down a bit but I still felt drained out and exhausted. I weakly got out of the bed after turning off the alarm and shuffled towards the bathroom and got dressed up in my regular school uniform.

A few minutes later, I got downstairs and saw my parents getting ready for work. "Good morning y/n. Are you feeling better?" My dad asked while putting on his watch. "Good morning, Tou-san. I'm feeling a lot better."
