I ditched  school so I could talk to Brandon. So it shouldn't be a surprise that I'm annoyed that he won't let me talk to him.

"No you can tell me everything tomorrow when you feel better."

Why the hell won't he listen to me!?
You know what, cry and he'll definitely listen.
Yeah your right.

"No Brandon you have to listen to me now or I'm not leaving here." I looked up at him with tears in my eyes. "Okay Ashley I'm listening, just please don't cry." He sat down on his bed. "Okay. It's about this morning, I didn't mean to run away when you kissed me. It's just..."

"Nah it's cool I understand. You don't like me in that way and I'm okay with that." He smiled at me before giving me a short hug. "Agh, Brandon you're not listening to me!" I screeched, pushing him away from me. "Chill Ashley. I'm listening now, I promise I won't interrupt you again." He chuckled.

"Look Brandon, I think I might like you. I didn't mean to run away, I was just really surprised and I didn't know how to react." I looked down at my feet. "Wait...are you sure?" He had a huge grin on his face showing off his immaculate teeth.

"No I was just joking." I rolled my eyes. "Are you being sarcastic with me right now? Wow I never realized how much of an attitude you have." He laughed  histerically. "Shut up, I don't have an attitude. You asked a stupid question. What was I supposed to say?" I rolled  my eyes. "Okay whatever." He said still laughing.

After what felt like ages of him laughing he finally stopped. "So does this mean we're dating now?" He reached out for my hand and held it. "Isn't that too fast? I don't want to rush into things, you know what I mean?" I  looked everywhere but at him.

"Okay that works for me. So what is this then, if we're not dating?" He rubbed my knuckles with his thumb. "We're in a situationship." I looked at our hands. "What the fuck is that?" He looked at me confused. "Like we're a thing but not really a thing. You know like...we're testing the water first." I said hoping he'd understand what I was trying to say.

Seriously a situationship!
I know it was stupid okay.

"I would like that alot." He said before giving me a kiss on my cheek. which made me blush. "You look so cute when you blush." He laughed.

"Shut up!" I screamed before throwing a pillow as hard as I could at him. "So I guess we can go now, right?" He stood up from the bed. "Yeah, I don't want my aunt to kill me." We both laughed at my statement.

On the drive to my house we didn't really say anything. "Okay, we're here now." He looked at me with a smile. "Thank you for today Brandon. I don't know what I would have done or what could have happened if you weren't there to help me." I gave him a short hug before getting out of the car. "So I'll see you later then." I waved at him and walked toward my house.  

Oh my gosh Ashley I think you almost got yourself a boyfriend!
I'm so excited!
Okay calm down you don't want your cousin to see you like this.
Yeah you're right.

I quickly changed the expression on my face to an annoyed one and opened the door.

"Ashley why are you so late. I was starting to think you got kidnapped." I heard my aunt's voice say. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to get you worried, miss Jacobs kept me after school so we could talk. You're the one that told me I shouldn't keep everything to myself and talk to someone about my problems." I said hoping she believed me.

"Okay then. But next time please call me when you're going to be late."

"I don't have a phone remember?" I was confused. "Yeah, I meant call me from miss Jacobs phone or something." She walked out of the room.

I can't believe she actually believed me. Maybe I should forget about being a doctor and become an actress because I'm a natural.
I thought smiling to myself.

I'm still surprised Brandon said yes to being in a situationship. Ever since he left I haven't been able to stop smiling.

"Ashley what's making you smile so much?" Taisha looked annoyed with the fact that I was happy. "Nothing, can't I just be happy?" I rolled my eyes at her. "Now girls please don't fight." My aunt interjected. "I'm not hungry anymore may I please leave now?" Taisha made me lose my appetite. "Why don't you have dessert first?" She looked at me with hopeful eyes. "I made one of your favorite desserts, brownies!" She screeched.

Why'd she do that?
It was really weird.
You should say yes. I mean look at her you can't say no to that.
No! I can't sit here any longer. Taisha is starting to get on my nerves.
I'll tell her that I'll have some tomorrow.

"Umm...no it's okay I'll have some tomorrow. I'm really tired, it was a very long day." I stood up and gave her a hug to reassure that I was fine. "Goodnight aunt Laura." I walked to my room and decided that I needed a long shower. I got in the shower and the water was steaming hot, just the way I like it.

I really don't want to go to school tomorrow. I'm sure miss Jacobs hates me now and Sarnai probably thinks I'm crazy.
Argh I'm so fucking stupid!

I spent the whole shower beating myself up about what happened at school. After my shower I got dressed in the bathroom. When I was done I went to my room and found Addy fast asleep. She looked so peaceful.

"Ashley I know being the oldest and having so much responsibility is hard sometimes but you're strong, just like me. I'm so happy that I have you here to help me with Addilyn. Sometimes I forget that she's my child and not yours. Don't forget that I'll always be there for you and Addilyn. I love you sweetheart."

"Ashley are you okay?" Asked a voice snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked up and my aunt was in front of me. "Oh yeah just thinking about how much work I have to do during the weekend." I lied not wanting her to know what I was actually thinking about.

She walked up to me and gave me a hug. "Ashley please talk to me. I don't like seeing you like this. It reminds me about how your mom used to act." She was about to cry. I pushed her off me. "Why are you always comparing me to my mom! I know she made some shity decisions but that doesn't mean I'll make the same mistakes she did! I'm not my mom for goodness sake! " 

"Ashley I didn't say you were your mom, I'm just worried about you. I..."

"I'm leaving." I interrupted before walking out of the room. "Ashley where are you going!" She walked after me. "Ashley are you leaving?" I heard Addy's voice from behind aunt Laura.

I walked to her and kneeled down in front of her. "Yes but I'll be back okay." I hugged her. "Please don't leave me." She clung on to my neck and cried. "Addy I'm not leaving you forever, I'm just going to visit my friend I'll be back before Monday I promise." I held her in arms length and whipped her tears.

She nodded and I walked out of the  house. I eventually started running, when I finally stopped running I realized that I had no where to go.

Now what?
