Aleena's POV:

I wake up with the most excruciating headache I've ever had. The combination of alcohol and JJ's weed must be the reason behind it. I try to get up, but I feel immediately dizzy, and I stumble back onto my large bed.

Sarah's house is enormous. My room in Colorado was nothing compared to this, it was like 8 times smaller.

Suddenly, I hear a soft knock on my door, and someone enters quietly. It's Sarah, and she whispers a soft "hi" as she tiptoes to my bed.

"Morning," I grumble, taking my pillow to cover my face, attending to avoid the light.

Unexpectedly, Sarah jumps onto my bed and lies beside me. I remove the pillow from my head and put it back beside me. I twist to my right and look Sarah in the eyes.

She smiles like an excited kid and parts her lips. "Sooo.." she starts, "You have to tell me something, mhh."

I give her a confused look, "What do I have to tell you?"

"Well, you were nowhere to be found after the fight. Did you sneak off with Thomas? I saw you two talking, and he told me he liked to see you more." She smirks, raising an eyebrow.

There's no way it's that Thomas. He literally only wants you for sex, five minutes of talking was enough to realize that.

I roll my eyes slightly and close my eyes again. "I went out... on a little walk. Alone."

"Why's that?"

"I was sick of everything. The fight made me realize how much I still care about John B. And what I did just doesn't help him to accept me again. I just didn't get the chance to even be concerned about him," I say with a raspy voice, full of emotions.

Sarah sighs and puts her hand under her head. "Look, I don't know what you did, and I'm not a fan of the Pogues. They put a gun against Topper's head. But he is your half-brother, so I think you have the right to be concerned. You're such a good person; I can't imagine you doing something wrong."

"Well, I did, Sarah, and I need to take the consequences. Luckily, JJ stayed calm at me that moment or-" I immediately stop when I realize I've spoken too much.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck, I shouldn't have said that- God fuck fuck fuck!

"Who? Who came to you? Which name did I hear there?"

I sigh and decide to tell the truth. I've lied so many times, and it only causes problems. "JJ," I say, exhaling. "He was smoking on the edge of the coastline by a few rocks."

"You smoked too?"

"Yeah."

Sarah places a smile on her plump lips. "That's why you're so pale."

"Hey, I can handle a little weed," I protest, trying to sound playful, and we both giggle.

"I'm sure you can," she grins. "What did he say?"

I open my eyes and turn on my back. "Not much, really. He was so different..."

"What is it with the 'different'?"

"I don't know. When I first met him, he was so rude. And yesterday, yeah, he seemed pretty sweet." I state, recalling yesterday's events.

Sarah sits up, knocking her head back. "You should be careful with him, though. He's known for, uh... playing girls. He changes his mood to obtain girls like that."

"Experience?" I daringly ask her.

Before she can answer, we're interrupted by a loud voice downstairs. It's Ward's voice, and Sarah's sudden shock tells me that she's not supposed to be here.
