Aleena's POV:
As I walk along the road, frustration boiling inside of me. I don't know if you can be more arrogant and irritating than that blonde shit. I just want to talk to John B and his bodyguard blocks my way. What does he actually have against me? Did I hurt his little feelings? Sure, he wants to defend his best friend, but come on, he wasn't even there when it happened!
At least, you can't deny his loyalty.
I continue to kick a rock with my shoe, trying to ignore the situation. Suddenly, I hear a car stopping next to me. I look to the side, aggravated at who decided to interrupt my long walk, and catch Sarah's blonde hair. "Hey!" she says, leaning out of the window.
I force a smile and respond, "Hi, Sarah."
She notices my frustration and asks, "Something wrong?"
I chuckle, looking at the rock that I have been kicking with my shoe for the past 10 minutes, and reply sarcastically, "Everything is great!"
Sarah persists, "Where are you heading to?"
"The wreck," I answer.
Sarah looks for a second out to the road, and then looks back at me, "Do you have time to hang out?"
I hesitate for a moment, but eventually give in, "Yeah, sure."
"Great, get in my car!" she says, beaming.
I get into the passenger seat and let my head fall back in exhaustion from the conversation with JJ.
"Did you already think about the kegger? It's just... I wanna introduce you to a few friends of mine." She asks kindly, turning her head to look at me for a moment.
I turn my head to the window side and sigh. "I don't know Sarah. John B and his friends are probably gonna be there too."
Sarah notices my hesitation and asks, "He's your half-brother? Why does he-"
I cut her off, not wanting to talk about the painful topic, "We are... having a fight."
Silence ensues until I finally agree to go to the party. "Okay, I will come. When is it?"
"Tonight," Sarah responds with a smile.
I turn my head to the side and widen my eyes. "Tonight?" I panic, "I'm not prepared for it. What should I wear? What will it be like? Wha-"
Sarah interrupts my hassle of words, "Chill Aleena. It's just a party on the boneyard where you drink and sit around a fire, nothing special."
I want to say something but suddenly, Sarah's phone rings, and she answers it. "Yeah? Now? But dad- Okay I will." Sarah says to the phone.
I wait silently for Sarah's explanation because she seems annoyed. "I have a little problem." She starts and looks at me, "My father wants me to be home now because miss Lana is coming and I need to stay with my little sister since our house is a mess from the storm."
"And.." I begin.
"Yeah, I don't think I'll find the time anymore to hang out today. But I'll drive you to my house and introduce you." Sarah adds.
As we drive to the rich side of the island, I notice the castles of houses in figure eight, all cleaned up after the storm. Remarkable despite the storm yesterday.
I guess they have money enough, don't they?
We arrive at her house and get out of the car. Jeez her house is big. And, when I say big, I mean big.
I'm gonna go then, I don't want to disturb you with all the chaos now..." I say and begin to walk away.
But Sarah grabs my wrist and pulls me back, "Come in for a moment. You can meet my dad."
