                 SOPHIA'S POV

The map showed that I was just a few minutes away from the hillside mansion, the place that would be my home and job for the next six months or a year depending on how fast my client got better.

I turned back to take a glance at Lilly who was already fast asleep in the back seat of my old black wrangler truck, strands of her black shiny hair fell on a part of her forehead, she was a little too tall for her age, I guess she took the shiny black hair and height from that man who was supposed to be her father, the thought of him made my blood boil and I gripped my steering wheel tight and pushed the thoughts away.

I needed to focus on this job it was a great opportunity for me to make money and afford all the things Lilly wanted, she couldn't sign up for a piano class which she loved because I couldn't afford it, but my pay in a month here would be enough to pay for her classes and still have extra cash.

"Turn left, go straight to enter the hillside mansion," the feminine voice from my google map said.

My intestines tightened, I wasn't the type to get nervous, I had gone for several interviews and never felt this nervous, maybe the pay was just too good and I needed to do a good job.

"Oh my God! Damn! This is an actual mansion, This is so beautiful". I screamed, thrilled as I drove in.

I didn't expect the mansion to be so big, I know I had seen pictures of it but it looked even more beautiful in reality.
It looked like the castles I read about in books and watched on television.

I drove past a beautiful garden, I saw a man In blue overalls humming happily and trimming the flowers.
Lily was going to love this place, the thought of her waking up to such a beautiful view made me so excited.

I drove into the garage and took a deep breath.

" you got this! you can do this, you are strong, and will only do great things.". I chanted my daily mantra.

"You must be Miss Sophia Adams!
a courteous male voice, said from behind,  I turned to see a tall brown-skinned young man dressed in a blue three-piece suit that hugged his body, he looked so clean, I felt Intimidated, he had beautiful blue eyes, and his reddish brown hair was neatly trimmed and his smile welcoming.

I wore an old pair of black jeans and a white polo with the inscription " don't touch me" that I got at a trade fair.

Lorna had advised me to wear something nice,  but her request fell on deaf ears, I ended up looking homeless in front of this personable young man.

His eyes drifted to Lilly who was still sound asleep in the back seat and he smiled placidly.

" you don't need to wake your daughter up, I could arrange for the maids to take her up to your room". He said beckoning one of the ladies standing by the garage waiting for instructions from him.

"Thank you very much mister" I blurted out, not sure of how to address him, he smiled and stretched his hands towards me for a handshake.

"Call me David, please! I'm the  assistant to your client," he said

The name rang a bell, Lorna had told me she met him at the opening of the hotel she worked as a manager. She talked about how he was a complete gentleman to her and the other employees, she slept off talking about him that night.
Let's keep his kindness aside he was extremely handsome with a nice aura. I could tell why she blushed all night while talking about him.
