SOPHIA'S POV
D-Day is finally here.
Richard: Good morning Sophia, please come downstairs.
I picked up my phone and glanced through the text from Richard.
What kind of man sounds so formal to a woman his getting married to, I thought to myself as I sluggishly picked myself up from the bed.
"Good morning miss Sophia!! " A thin voice called out, as I got downstairs, I turned to see a tall dark skinned lady, she smiled brightly and walked towards me, her skin was flawless, If I wasn't straight I'll be attracted to her.
" so good to finally meet you, I'm Penelope, a friend of Richard and I'm also a designer " she stretched forth her hand to mine with a smile, I smiled back and we shook hands briefly.
Richard was sitting on the sofa and flipping through the daily time magazine, his face was plastered on the front page. he was quite popular and I must confess his face and body were a work of art, no wonder magazines irrelevant to his work called him for interviews.
" I'll be helping you with your outfit and makeup, my team is waiting upstairs," she said
"My makeup and dress, why? I turned toward Richard for answers but he was still focused on the magazine.
" Richie called that he needed help changing his fiancée's wardrobe, and I'm here for that," she replied.
The way she called his name, irritated me, they must have a very close relationship, I thought to myself but decided to kill that thought, it was none of my business.
I mean this whole marriage was a sham.
I know I made a fuss about pretending to act as his fiancée but the offer was quite a lot and enough to care for Lilly plus he even promised to get me a mansion in a city I wanted. a part of me also wanted to help him, he got into this mess because of me, so I was going to consider this an acting gig, we agreed on six months and to never interfere with each other's life.
I knew I was scheduled to meet his father, but an entire wardrobe change isn't what I was expecting.
" Richie sent me your picture and size, so I picked some outfits that will look good on you," she said
the way she called his name got on my nerves but once again I ignored it and reminded myself Richard meant nothing to me.
" Okay then I'm ready for this makeover, "I sat next to him and was still immersed in the magazine.
"Shouldn't you at least pretend you can't take your eyes off me, we are supposed to be in love remember? " I whispered, and he finally looked at me.
"I'm changing your entire wardrobe, I made some nice dresses for you, if that isn't love, I don't know what else is." He said, rolling his eyes, and finally dropping the magazine.
that's normal you are rich! We could look suspicious if you don't......"
before I could say another word, he pulled me close, our lips almost touched, and I closed my eyes anticipating a kiss.
" open your eyes, I'm not kissing you ". He whispered and my face turned red with embarrassment.
"sorry to interrupt, but I need you to check the dresses, " Penelope said gently to me.
Richard let go of me and I jumped up in a hurry, I needed to get away from him.
"Pene, please take good care of my woman" He sounded sweet but the sarcasm in his voice was hard to ignore.
