Joanna's chin has never been raised higher until when the reporters gathered up in front of her, basically begging for her attention. She folded her arms, and with a smug on her face, she gave the reporters what they want.
"Yes, the Blooded Rei Griffin attacked me with blood magic. I can still remember as if it was yesterday how her eyes turned red when she attacked me that day. . . . I was so scared — I don't think I have ever been so scared in my entire life."
"Are you okay, Lady Severina?
"I am not! How can I be? I am stuck with a . . . a monster! I am scared — we are all scared!"
The reporters started asking more questions but Delfin turned the television off.
"This is bad," said Delfin.
"Ms. Severina hates Ms. Griffin that much," said Mrs. Eve as she reached the other side of the long table where Delfin was sitting with his hands clutched together.
"Wow. That was useless, Bernadette. Don't you have anything smart you can use your mouth with? It is blabbering senseless facts, it's annoying."
"You're angry — I get it, Delfin. But lashing out on me will do nothing."
The young dean raised his finger — he paused. . . . "You're right," he said and sighed, "I'm out of milk!"
"I'll get you some," said Mrs. Eve.
Delfin watched Mrs. Eve walked out of his office. He has been watching the news the whole morning and it worsens every hour. The news was all over the place, it was either the blood magic or the Bloodeds — the history of the terror Lord Sangderoi inflicted in the land were brought up too, terrified parents were rallying on the human councilor's office, the Ironrock Palace, for the capture of Rei — surprisingly, the speaker of the Palace was somehow stating Councilor Umbaña was on the side of the demonstrators. It was him who disbanded the White Concord to save the Bloodeds — so why side with the activists now?
Meanwhile, at exactly eight corners far from the office of the dean, carrying the books: Beginners Spellbook I, Charms Charms Charms, and Standard Book of Charms, Rei Griffin was walking down to the Garden of Apples.
"You were right, Rei, it is quiet here," said Mika. "How did you know this place?"
"I am honestly more surprised that you don't know this place when you know all the passages in this castle."
"I just know all the secret ways because somebody told me."
"Do tell who this somebody is," said Rei.
"He's not important — oh! You brought your books! Time to practice!"
The remainder of the vacant hours they got consists of levitation spell practice. Rei started by levitating the apples scattered all over the ground. One by one, by just doing a "C" motion using her wand, she was able to levitate the apples. Mika, quite the exhibitionist she was, tried making Andrew float. Andrew painfully found it was a horrible idea; thankfully he landed on the grass.
"I thought I heard someone laughing," said a voice not far from the fountain.
Rei, Mika, and Andrew, all of whom were sitting on the grass, looked at the speaker — it was Neil. Immediately, as though a child wanted to show someone something exciting, Rei took out her wand and flicked it the same time she said the word "Leviato".
