Chapter Twenty Two

Harry's POV

At around 10pm on that same night, I was laying on my bed looking up at the ceiling. I was listening to Favourite Worst Nightmare by Arctic Monkeys. The day had been pretty uneventful. I ran into Louis at the coffee shop and it was quite awkward. We both held grudges, because what else would you do? I was halfway through Balaclava when I heard pelts at my window.

"What the-?" I whispered to myself. I figured it was one of my bandmates, but I was horribly wrong. It was Louis.

"What do you want?" I yelled down.

"Can I come in?" he asked.

"If you can find a way, yes."

I guess he still had a house key or something, considering he got inside within the next 5 minutes.

"Yes?" I asked when he entered my room.

"I'd like to talk if that's okay." He said.

"About what? I thought everything was clear between the two of us."

"Lots. It isn't, as a matter of fact. Can I sit down?" He asked, motioning towards my desk chair.
"I guess. Tell me what you want, and make it quick."

Louis's POV

"Me and Liam. It was a party. You weren't there, and I was piss drunk." Lie #1. I wasn't- I had a few shots, but nothing major. "Pretty much everyone there was playing truth or dare, including me. We were all pretty intoxicated. I got dared to kiss Liam. I didn't want to at first, but everyone was egging us on. I did, and it just felt so natural. When I said I had practice, sometimes I did, but other times, I was hanging out with Liam. I'm sorry."

"All I get is a fucking sorry?" He practically yelled. "I almost died because of you. I know you know the shit I've been through."

"Why did you try?" I asked, trying to hold back tears.

"I saw a future with you. We'd go to close colleges, move in together. I loved you. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, but I guess we didn't see eye to eye."

I was shocked. I knew we both really liked each other, but Harry was committed to me.

"Stop looking like a fish and leave." He said.

I got up and left. Little did I know, that was one of the last times we'd interact.
