Harry's POV
"Are you doing what I think you're doing?" my mom asked.
I nodded, crying.
She turned me around and saw the sight. A razor in my right hand, one of the veins on my left arm dripping with blood. My eyes and cheeks red, filled with tears.
She hugged me, not caring that I was bleeding.
"Please stay." she mumbled.
"If you want me to, we should get this cleaned up."
She chuckled. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
We went into the bathroom that was connected to my room. She grabbed the gauze and some other stuff.
"This will burn, just warning you." she said, while putting some peroxide on a cotton ball.
I winced when she applied it to the blood-less cut. "You weren't lying when you said that."
When she was finished cleaning me up, she lead me to the couch. My arm was stiff from the gauze wrap.
"Why did you do it?"
"When I was in math, I needed a wee. I went to the bathroom on the ground floor because I needed a change of scenery. When I walked in, Louis was kissing Liam. I broke up with Louis, grabbed my bag, and drove around. I went out of Doncaster to a field Louis and I visited on Friday after his game. I thought about everything and figured, 'I don't want to live like this'. I knew Louis was the one. I thought he did, too, but turns out he didn't. I came home, contemplated it for a bit. I decided on doing it. I put on the album Ian Curtis hung himself to, and went from there."
She cried into my chest. I cried into hers, too. My eyeliner was streaming down my cheeks.
"Since when do you wear eyeliner?" she asked me.
"There's a lot of things you don't know about me. You're always at work."
We both let out a chuckle at that.
"I do feel like I never see you. Maybe I should take more time off. How does that sound?"
"I'd like that."
"I know you've had this thought before, but the next time you're tempted to do something, just think about everything you'd miss. Concerts, getting more tattoos, your favorite artists releasing new music, getting your dream job. I know that it may seem like there's nothing to live for, but there always is. Remember that, okay?"
I hugged her, and nodded my head. She may rarely be around, but when she is, I love her company. I love her in general.
